[Balto, Complete] So wrong, but it feels so right [Part 1]

Max looked at Kodi "well yeah that all did happen but we'll get him back in the hospel just not right now its just a long story" then he started off towards a nice tree for a good place to hide from the strays and to make sure Storm didnt do anything else that would get him in trouble or that would harm him, looking back over to the family ,mainly Kodi, so no one would come out and get him in danger

"Erm, Slyth wait just..."

But it was no use. He'd already shot around to the other side of the hospital building and inside the door, amazingly fast for someone as injured as he was. Blitz jogged slowly after him, trying to think of how to word what she needed to tell him. As she stepped into Storm examination room, she sighed and thought, 'Well, might as well try...'

"Slyth, Storm is...well he's kind of in a bit of a jam right now - not too much trouble - but still he's in a precarious situation in which help from his family can only get him in even more trouble." Blitz thought bitterly, 'Yeah, that's gonna stop him from interferring alright. He's just going to think I'm a crazy person now.' Nonetheless, she continued, "I'm trying to help him get out of his...situation, but you have to believe me when I say that help from you, Kodi, Max and Saba can only hurt him at this point. It's complicated, but please, trust me."

She wasn't sure if he would indeed trust her about this or if he'd take charge and try to save Storm his own way, but she hoped it was the first. 'Even if he does trust me on this, there's still the matter of Storm's test. If he fails, he'll be kicked out of the gang and ignored by Dart and the others. Sure, he'd be mad at me for making the challenge too hard, but he'd get over...eventually. And at least he'd be safe, and alive, and Saba, Max, Kodi and Slyth...they'd all be safe from those street dogs too.

But if he passes...he'll be let into the gang no problem and even if he does end up choosing to leave, like I did, it will be because of his family. Dart will surely find out about them then, and if he doesn't take his rage out on Storm, he'll take it out on Saba and Jenna, maybe even the others. If Dart finds out about Storm's little lie, it could cost them all dearly...and it would be partially my fault for letting the pup get in so over his head. I can't let that happen.'

Blitz sighed unconciously, weighing the two alternatives in her mind and somehow also praying that Slyth wouldn't question her more, though she had the strongest inkling that he would, especially after that breath.

Storm was walking down the street with Angel.

"What are you doing on the streets babyeyes anyway?" she asked

"What do you mean" asked Storm

"Dont you have a nice family back home?" she aske

"Yeah right, some family, two brothers who fight all the time, a hero of a father who is never around and a mother who is clueless" he said

Walking into the hospital room, Slyth noticed it was empty. His brother had snuck out again. He felt annoyed at this and growled lowly before he could stop himself. On hearing that Storm had gotten into some trouble, he wasn't surprised. "If he keeps this up he's going to be making daily trips to this place" Then turning around briskly, he started to leave the room but Blitz's words reached his ears. "Slyth, Storm is...well he's kind of in a bit of a jam right now - not too much trouble - but still he's in a precarious situation in which help from his family can only get him in even more trouble."
"What do you mean, his family can only get him in more trouble?" Then without waiting for an answer he slipped past Blitz and began his search for his brother.

Blitz sighed, feeling his annoyance with her and the world, seemingly, but all she could do was follow and try to explain as best she could. "Look, I know this is probably only serving to make you more angry, but just try not to get too mad when you hear this." She took a small breath before she continued.

"Storm got himself mixed up with that gang of rogue dogs, led by that scoundrel, Dart. He seems to think that his family doesn't care about him, or some other such nonsense and so he's determined to join them. Dart is testing him with various challenges to see if he's dog enough to handle the gang," at this point she took a deeper breath, "and because Dart trusts me, an odd, unexplainable reason that I'd rather not bring up at the moment, he's left me with the responsibility of creating a mental challenge for Storm.

"There are two ways to get Storm out of this little predicament, the first, more simple way is simply for me to make his test impossible to pass. If he fails, Dart will never accept him into the gang and he'll have to give up this foolishness and come back home. The second way is, unlikely, if he chooses to get himself out. If he passes the test, or if he just decides he wants out, he can still tell Dart he'd rather not join the gang and leave of his own accord. However as determined as he seems at the moment, this is very unlikely.

"As for the bit about his family not getting involved, that's where it gets messy. You see, if Dart finds out that Storm has a family and isn't just some misfit without a loving home, he'll be furious. He'll take out his revenge on Storm and if he's angry enough, possibly Jenna, Saba, maybe even Max, Kodi and you. Dart doesn't like to be double crossed, and that's why I had to play dumb when I waltzed over to him to try and get Storm out of this mess."

Blitz looked down at the ground after her monologue, still following Slyth, if he had not stopped dead in his tracks from shock yet and then assumed a role of silence for the moment. She decided she would give him a few minutes to digest all this and then await his reaction, whether it be understanding, or some sort of furious wrath. She winced at the thought of him shouting at her, but still, she felt she had to tell him.

Slyth listened to Blitz as he continued looking to Storm but when her words finally ended, he spun around to face her quickly. Completing a 180 degree pivot, he faced Blitz. Their noses nearly touching, Slyth's eyes looked straight into hers. Feeling awkward he stepped back from her, then tryed to pretend that it hadn't happened.

Growling slightly he started to bear his fangs at Blitz but stopped. What was he getting angry at Blitz for? She had just said she was trying to make the tests too hard for Storm to pass so he wouldn't be able to join the gang. Letting his lips fall back over his teeth he turned around from Blitz. Thinking silently. Except for the random growls he made. He tryed again and again to find a way to get Storm out of the situation he had foolishly gotten him into. He's thinking too much of himself. He thinks his body can heal all those wounds in a matter of a few hours

Turning back to Blitz he sighed. Looking at her he asked "then what am i supposed to do?"

Blitz winced as he first did a 180 and felt his breath once or twice through his nostrils before he stepped back. She closed her icey colored eyes as he began to growl and, half expecting him to attack her, tensed up. 'Great...just great. How on earth did you manage to screw up this time you retard. You've really done it now, but you only have yourself to blame,' she thought to herself. But when the attack never came, she relaxed and opened her eyes, raising her head only slightly from its lowered position so she could glimpse his face.

As he thought everything over, she waited once more, wondering what he would say when he'd examined every possible solution out of this mess. When he finally spoke, she didn't have an answer ready immediately. "I...I don't really know. I barely know how I'm going to organize this challenge so that Dart will accept it and not think it's too hard." She sighed and then looked down again.

"Slyth...I know this frustrates you...and I know you're probably furious with me about this. I just don't want you or anyone else to get hurt, especially not Storm or you..." As she uttered that last bit, she realized that her mind had just betrayed her verbally and she attempted to cover it up. "...or Saba for that matter. I know it hasn't been that long, but you guys are really the best friends I've ever had, believe or not." She smiled fondly but kept her gaze down on the ground still.

"But as for the Dart situation, if you'd like to help, I'd appreciate some help with Storm's mental challenge. I have a little something, but like I said, it's not complete, and as is, Dart would never like it enough. Dart may not be as clever as some, but even he can tell when something isn't quite as challenging, especially for requirements in joining him, as it should be."

Max saw that everything was fine so he started out of the hiding place and walked back to the family "i'm heading out for a little sorry" then walked out to the street and started walking and thinking to himself "i hope Blitz has a plan to get Storm out of this i feel so useless since i cant help i dont know what to do......i bet she's with Slyth and i still dont want to talk with him right now but i want to know if there's anyway i can help" so then he made it to the hospel and saw them trying to forget that Slyth was there he asked her "i need to know if theres anything i can do to help i dont want to feel useless trying to help" giving her a sad face

He say listening to Blitz, his anger with her had disipated. Having realized he was angry at the wrong person. He didn't know who to be angry with anymore. Storm hadn't listened to him and had left the hospital again. Now he was mixed up with the wrong crowd. The gang he was getting mixed up with were the very kind of dogs their parents had told them to stay away from.

He gritted his teeth at his anger to do something about this. It frustrated him majorly that he couldn't do anything now. Storm had gone to far for him to follow. Storm had gone out of his protection. Slyth then realized the frustration and anger he felt, was merely replacing the absent responsibility he had sworn to Storm. He never wanted or ment to hurt Storm, but he continued to hurt himself. The way he was thinking made no sense. He didn't think his family cared for him, when Slyth had just given everything to get Storm safe. Throwing his own well being away to save Storm. The next day, or maybe it had been that very night, Storm had run away. Under the impression that his family didn't care for him. Slyth didn't know where Storm had gotten that conclusion. But he had to show storm that he was wrong and to get him back to safety.

Maybe i am angry at Storm

Blitz watched Slyth without speaking for a bit as he lost himself in the depths of his own thoughts and then turned, her ears perking up as they heard footfalls. She was surprised to see Max enter the hospital room and, though puzzled, she replied, "Well, unless you can help me put together a mental challenge for Storm, the only other thing that would really help Storm right now is to keep Kodi, Jenna, Balto and the others occupied and unsuspicious of what's going on. If they get involved, this whole mess is just going to spiral over even more.

"I've got a number of riddles to give Storm, but the whole test isn't quite challenging enough yet. If I can't make it completely mind boggling, he'll manage to pass on a fluke and then we'll all have to go even deeper into the rabbit hole."

She looked back over to Slyth, still lost in his own world and thought to herself, 'He's been trying so hard lately, with Saba and to keep Storm out of trouble. Why can't the little husky just give his older brother a rest once in a while and try to get a little better before he runs off and eventually gets himself hurt again? If Storm keeps this attitude of invincibility up, he'll never make it to his next birthday.'

Max tryed to smile but couldnt and looked at Blitz "i'm not good with riddles and stuff so i'll try to keep the family from doing anything that might do something to get him in danger" then thought about how Blitz and Slyth always seemed to be together so he smerked on the way out and ran back to the park "sorry about that guys i'm staying so i can spend the day with me family sorry bout leaving tho" and faked a smile cause he really didnt feel like being here"

Slyth didn't pay any attention to his brother, Max as he entered the room. He just looked away from him. Trying to sort this mess out. His anger kept flaring up and disappearing. One second he was calming down then within the minute he was growling angrily again. Finally after what seemed like hours, He heard Max exit the room. He stood up and turned to face Blitz. Looking at her, he didn't have anything to say. He just felt glad that she was on his side.

As he looked over her, his eyes focused mainly on her's he saw in his minds eye, the nuzzle from his dream. His face turned to a confused expression. He was starting to wonder about his feelings for her again when he shook his head. No, this isn't the time. You need to start trying to help Blitz help Storm

With this thought, Slyth started to try and think of a way to make Storm's mental challange impossible for him to figure out. The only really confusing thing that Slyth knew was PI. Everytime he said something about it, Storm though he was talking about PIE. But it was a stupid idea and he dismissed it without even suggesting it to Blitz. In the midst of his thoughts, from somewhere, a whin produced itself and vibrated up his throat. Though it was slightly muffled threw his closed jaws, it was high pitched so his was sure Blitz heard it. Flatening his ears he watched for Blitz's reaction.

as Max started to get their mind off what Storm did he thought to himself "why is Slyth always getting the girls all he is, is a jerk....nevermind that i just got to get the family to stop thinking what Storm did"then he tryed his best to stop thinking about Slyth but something just keep getting Max ticked off about him the more he tryed to calm down the more he just got angry at him he knew he shouldnt of went back there, but he was still doing his best to make them forget about it the only one that was giving him trouble was Kodi

Kodi was trying to get by Max who stubbournly forced him back everytime he took a step forward. Kodi was getting frustrated with Max too. Finally having enough He stood up again after being knocked down by him. "Max, what is your problem? Im trying to help Storm"
