Shane led them out of the cave and up a small hill, where he could see the river and it's rushing waters moving closer.

Nickel was perked with interest, watching the water. The lightning flashed above them, Rochelle quietly moved closer to the Shane.

Shane licked Rochelle's ears and watched the risin water, then took a step back.
"we need to get higher!"

"Then let's go!" Nickel barked with a bit of excitement, though he himself would have loved to stay in the water.

Shane turned and padded quickly behind Rochelle, pushing them up further to the hill.

Nickel padded further ahead, full of energy.

Shane watched the water surged down into their cave and he sighed. Another home gone, he thought sadly.

Rochelle looked over at their old den. "Guess we'll be finding a new home."

Shane sighed and nodded.
"Third time's a charm, eh?" He joked lightly.

Rochelle chuckled and nodded.
"This happened before?" Nickel asked curiously.

Shane sighed, "Yeah, the river flooded, and the pack and I had to move out. Rochelle, weren't you just a pup?" He questioned.

"I was older then a pup, probably Nickel's age." she replied. "But then again that's probably still a pup to you." she teased.

Shane huffed, scratching his ear with his hind foot.
"Hey. I'm not that old, missy," He said. "'Sides, i couldn't remember!"

Rochelle giggled. "Memory loss comes with age too." she said jokingly.

Shane grumbled something with a huff, and rolled his eyes.
"When i have white hairs, all over my face, then i will give you permission to call me old." He retorted.
