Rue, wishing she could've had the last fish, stuck hers over the fire, occasionally turning it as she watched it slowly cook.

Setsuko imitated Rue, placing her fish over the fire and watching it slowly roast.

When the fish looked brown enough, Rue took it out of the fire and blew on it softly. Waiting for it to cool, she finally took a bite. The smoky flesh soon disappeared into her stomach, and she licked her lips.

Setsuko removed her fish slowly. Sometimes it seemed that watching cook fish was like watching snow melt in the South Pole. But she couldn't think of anything to say.

She tore off chunks of meat with her teeth, mouth watering as she ate the succelent flesh.

Setsuko nibbled on the fish and finished it quickly. "I'm going to go to bed now," She murmured as she finished. She was too nervous, excited and just confused to say more. She walked back into the cabin and curled up in her 'bed' to await the next day....or possibly a dream.

Rue stayed outside longer, trying to eat the fish slowly. It seemed to disappear to fast, and her stomach, still feeling empty, growled again. Sighing, she put out the fire and headed back inside the cabin.

Setsuko slowly closed her eyes, waiting for sleep to greet her. She was barely aware of Jaci curling up next to her, or the slight breeze that blew through the cabin logs. All that was on her mind was concentration to sleep.

Rue softly climbed into her 'bed', pulling up the blanket over her.

Indeed, Setsuko began to dream. At first she was alone, surrounded by multicolored fog. As the fog subsided, Setsuko noticed two figures in the background. And she had seen them in dreams before, and known them her whole life. Her parents. Tears of joy streamed down her face. "Mother! Father!" She exclaimed, running into their arms. Katara smiled softly at her daughter. "You did it, Setsuko. You figured it out." Setsuko didn't speak, she just smiled on, tears continuing to flow. "We are so proud of you," Aang told her, "You can come back to us. We miss you." For a moment Setsuko couldn't speak, but then she managed, "I miss you too." Her parents gazed lovingly at her. "You can come back. You can and will. Ayumu will grant the passage." Setsuko wanted to say more, but the next thing she knew, she was back in her 'bed' in the old cabin.

Rue had finally fell asleep, and was too, dreaming. LArk and Tariq were there, flying beside her above a deep blue ocean. Happiness filled her to see them again. The moment was ruined when she woke, and opened her eyes.

Setsuko rose slowly. Light streamed through the crevices of the cabin. Today they had to report to Ayumu...and maybe get to go home. Home. The thought filled Setsuko with longing.

"Morning Stesuko," Rue yawned, sitting up. SHe was immedialy awake, impatient to go see Ayumu. Maybe today, she coudl finally go back.

Setsuko nodded to Rue in acknowledgment. "So," She said, trying to keep the excitement and nervousness out of her voice, "Today's the day."

"Yep. SHould we eat first, or just go ahead and leave?" Rue asked.
