"Thanks dear..." said Martha, her eyes glasing over, when Pokemon of certain species gave birth, they went into a animal like state, in MArtha's case, this required going into a trance-like state. She climbed onto her nest Begining to dig into the mound of mulch and dirt she'd made as a nest.
"Blastiose, the father is never supposed to watch the female give birth." said Electrike, he was right.

"He's right dear..." said Martha, sinking deeper into the trance. "My...my instincts have it handled."
Electrike waited. "Come on, its not right for males to be in the same room as a female giving birth, you should know that."

Electrike closed the door and set beside Blastiose. "Did the same thing happen when Squirtle was born?"

"...Squirtle sure was adorable." said Electrike, looking at pictures of the tiny Squirtle. "She was tiny."

"She's got wonderful eyes too." said Electrike. "I like them." he said. "I can't believe how tiny she was, was I probably that size when I was newborn?"

"You were that small though, right?" asked Electrike, being curious.
Martha finished laying her egg. She collapsed on the mound and rested.

"Hon. You can come in now." said Martha, looking at the little egg.
Electrike looked at Blastiose. "Should I get the others?"

Martha motioned him over. "Come on, its our baby."
Electrike ran over to the hot spring. "Everyone come on! Martha had her egg!"
"My baby brother!" said Squirtle, climbing out of the spring quickly.
