Bashkei seemed skiddish, backing off slowly. Kai stepped in beside him, and he smiled, before looking at the officer, then the treat. He cocked an eyebrow, taking another step back.
OOC: Probably, since they're close to Balto and Jenna. Whatever makes a better story, though.

Bashkei nodded, his jaw clamping and tightening. "There is one thing you can do for me. Since I won't be..." he searched for the word the humans called it, but could not find it. "Going in the same manner as the rest of you. Take my daughter with you, and move the den closer to my pack's territory." he said, his brow cutting a straight line. "I won't have this happen again."

Lena cuddled up to her grandfather. "Grandpa Baskei, are you going away again?"

Bashkei nodded, watching Balto walk away before Lena cuddled up to him. He smiled. "Only until we get back home... I'm afraid I can't travel with you and your siblings. just make sure your Momma's comfortable, okay?" he rubbed Lena's head softly. "Can you do that for me?"
Tai bounded over and walked beside Balto. "Do you really think grandpa Bashkei would change his mind and travel with humans? He looked uncomfortable when the police were here."

Lena smiled, licking her grandfather's cheek. "I understand, but will you at least meet Rosie? She's a really nice human." she said. "She liked Balto when everyone else hated him for being half wolf."

Balto ran until he saw the rest of his family. "Katie!" he said. "We stopped Mako, he's been arrested." he explained. "Rosie is coming to pick us up, can you walk?"
Cachen had, reasonibly, fell asleep next to his mother.
Lena nodded. "Yeah, she's the pretties pure bred in Nome." she said. "She's also immune to Dithyeria...did I say that right?"

Katie smiled, truly happy. She nudged her sleeping son softly, grinning. "Cachen, wake up." she said only once, and looked at Balto, before trying to stand. Her legs were shaky.
Kodi shok his head, going under Katie and hoisting her onto his back. "Not yet."
Goldie smiled and jumped on Tai, emerging from the bushes with a light yelp.
Bashkei blinked, looking confused. "...What?"(XD)

Fang came out of a bush with a dead rabbit, having broke the neck so Cachen wouldn't see blood. "Oh...did I was just getting Katie some food." he said. "We leaving?"
Cachen rolled over, waking up. "Oh...Grandpa! You're ok! Where's Kai?"
"He's back with Lena, Dusty, Bashkei, and Tiga." said Balto. "Everyone is fine."
"IT's a bad disease that all the purebreds got, but Grandma Jenna didn't." said Lena. "No one knows why, it made them cough a lot and could kill them."

Tai wrestled Goldie off of her, shaking excess snow from her red pelt, before, nodding to Fang. "Yep. it's all taken care of." she said, giving him a rather girlishly infatuated smile.
Katie chuckled at Tai, and turned to Balto. "thank you so much." she said, meaning it more than he could have known.
Bashkei smioled a moment at Lena's naive view, and envied her. "My pack gets a disease like that. I can't wait to see them again."
