Back at Central Park Nooka was sleeping soundly snuggled up in the hay on the boards of Nuka’s shed.

Two drunken teenage boys where walking around central park one of them had a couple of fireworks and matches. “Hey let see how loud the bang is if we throw it in there” he said pointing into Nuka’s shed where Nooka slept. “Good Idea” the other said; the first drunk struck a match lit the firework and threw it into the concrete shed BANG!!The firework went off with a very loud bang and set the straw bedding alight.

Poor Nooka was scared out of his wits; he leaped off the bench and ran out of the shed, he ran and ran and ran through central park, behind him the two drunks where laughing. Poor Nooka kept running through the park until he could no longer run he was standing on a huge rock and in the moonlight saw a hole. The hole led to a small cave; he dashed into it panting with exhaustion but too scared to sleep. Whimpering, and panting heavily he cowered at the back of the small cave; after a while he got some of his strength back “I’m too scared to stay here but too scared to leave, I want Cana and Senidy!" He whined. He herd a clock chime 3 AM then 2 AM and eventually from sheer exhaustion he fell asleep.

Back at Nuka’s shed the two drunks had been delighted “lets do that again” one of them said. “Oh no you don’t” said two policemen who had heard the bang and run over to investigate. one of them quickly caught an handcuffed them together; while the other found the hose used to keep the shed and Nuka’s sandbox toilet clean. He put the fire out; fortunately as the hay was very thick and the wooden boards it was sitting on was still damp from the previous-day’s washing there was little damage apart from the burnt hay and some blackening of the walls. The policemen got the two drunken youths into their police car and drove them off to the police station. Nobody had noticed the terrified Nooka run away in terror.

Greystripe was confused "were am i" he said out loud

"I'm ready to break a leg!" Macy was Exillerated. "Bring out the cute little fuz balls wenever your ready!" She barked with anticapation.

"I wish that vet person would hurry up." He hiccuped. He rolled over on his side then got to his feat. He felt sick to his stomach suddenly. "I'm kinda hungry..." His stomach interupted him with a sour groan. "Do you have anything to eat while we wate?" He asked paw weakly. His tummy cackled loudly with a sound like that a drain makes when his quafs the last drop of water. He hiccuped as he waited for paws reply.

ooc- Kittens room is another way they get kittens into the lab without being caught (only kittens can go in)
I was out walking, went into a big door that said 'KITTENS ROOM' so i went in a big human (smelled bad) grabbed me and started carring and i guess this is where he took me i was knocked out for the rest of the journey.

Unknown to the Animals, There was another man hiding in the lab and he had a kitten! Half an hour before the dogs got into the dog room he went into the cat room. Then he opened the cage in which the male cat who had tried to hurt cream was in, he grabbed the male cat and threw the kitten in (Greystripe). He ran out of the door but tripped up, he never got up again.
The male cat ran through the passages and found a small, high window just big enough for him! He took a running leap, grabbed the edge of the window with his paws, wriggled out and leaped to the ground. He ran the short distance to the fence climbed up it and leaped onto a parked van then down to the ground and ran off into the streets in the opposite direction to Central Park.

The cat room!

“Hi my fellow cats, the dogs will be getting you out soon, most of you will be taken to a tennis court- a fenced off place where people play game with balls. Tomorrow some nice humans will catch and take you to a place where you will be well cared for and fed. Eventually nice humans will probably give you good homes, or you will live out your lives in big comfortable cages with other cats. But if any of you would rather take your freedom ask me.” Columbus said he looked at Quinn. Now there’s a pretty Lady[/b] he thought.

Cream woke up “hey what-oh hello there Greystripe, I was tricked into the Kitten room and caught by that smelly guy too!” Cream said he’s got nice grey eyes-but I’m too young for a Tomfriend yet but I do have a crush on him!

Quinn had had mixed feelings about the male cat being removed, she disliked him for the way he had treated Cream, but she didn’t want him to be tortured. “You’re in a laboratory but we are going to be rescued soon by Cat-friendly dogs. She eyed Columbus.[b] He seems nice; like most other male cats here, and he’s handsome too!

“He’s the one who dose a lot of tests and puts the animal to sleep” Bullet said. We call him “Seth of Death”.

A rat appeared in a vent it was Tiger “I have news for you” he said. “Seth of death has met his own death; he tripped and fell hitting his head hard. The cat he was carrying has run away”

Shad smiled at Greystripe “You’re a Scottish fold aren’t you? - I guessed by your folded ears,What's your name? he said.

Bullet, Cream, Shad and Quinn wanted freedom “How about you Greystripe”? They asked the new kitten.

The Dog Room

Nuka went over to Konrad, and whispered to him “Aleu mentioned something about meeting a white wolf called shadow a year ago, I think its Halfblack’s mum! Give the three of them some time to talk to her and do me a favour- Please help with the small animals then find Tiaki and ask him to take the meat into the cave he and his half sister found please”

“Ok” Konrad said and went over to Halfblack and her family “You’re going to stay here, Hawhe-Black and Shadow?” Konrad asked. “Hawhe I hope you don’t mind if I go with the small animals by myself. I need to ask Tiaki about something ill be back soon; It’s not because of you promise; he nuzzled Halfblack. He went to join the other dogs ready for escorting the small animals; “and Shadow-go and talk to Aleu” he said smiling mysteriously at the white wolf!


I don’t know about getting food myself Logen; but Nuka can help I’m sure Paw said smiling at Logen and Tanga She’s the tall black dog with creamy coloured paws and pink ribbon. She told me that you don’t need to see the vet anymore just good food and water”

Nuka was right next to Logen and his new friends heard what paw had said, he came over and sat next to them. “Paw and Tanga are right, a couple of my friends can get some chicken and chicken soup for you Logen!” he told the pup. He turned to Toa and Kau. “Kau, Toa please cold you go and get the meat and soup for Logen now, Star and Rocky can take your place but Logen needs nutrition as soon as possible” Nuka said.

OK Kau replied and quickly went and opened went through and closed the door with before any of the small animals cold escape.

Toa was with him, “well have to find something to carry the stuff in, a bucket wit a lid and a handle would be perfect for the soup. A bucket whit a handle would be just right for the minced chicken. You go and talk to Tiaki and ill find the buckets.” “Ok” she heard Kau reply.

Thunder had been sitting quietly; observing the others, they seem to be happy, enjoying each-others company, they’re friendly to each others. Maybe I should try it- be a bit more friendly and maybe Duncan would like me more, ok ill try it and help with moving the small animals she decided. She went over and smiled at Musher and told him her plans Well shay perhaps we cold be friends ill try to be a bit nicer!

Musher was so taken aback that he couldn’t answer for a few moments; well Thunder I think that is a great idea! He said and winked at his sister.

I’d love to be friends with you thunder, I think if you tried you cold be a good friend to everyone. And I know my brother would be a good mate for you, especially if you were friendlier!Shay said.

Well ill try it then Thunder said and smiled at shay and went join the Small-animal escort rescue group.

Duncan didn’t hear what Thunder had said, I’m ready to go when you are he replied to Nuka.

So are we said Solo, Barrie, Rocky, Star, Millie, Dodger, Tanga and Konrad.

Paw jumped into Logan’s basket and laid down next to him trying to comfort him, s felt safe withim even thghewasquitw bit bigger than her shebelieved thathe mighhava protective touch in him, at least when he was healthy. she started to sing ‘Reach for the light’

"Wihicill you hic b hic hic be hic hic hic hic be my hic friend hic." The little pupy tremboled violently and he began fealing like he might get sick again though he didn't. He liked the way she sang. Logen flipped over on his side and listened to her voice. He was nearly asleep, like he neaded to be, when his stomach made a loud angry sound that made him jump. A second growl loud enough that paw could here it. "Hic Heak hic!" And a therd growl even louder. Logen realy didn't feal like eating but if Nuka said he should he probably should. He tried not to wimper infront of his new friend. He belched and covered his muzzle with his paw embarassed to burp infront of his new friend. Something about her being a girl made it all the more awkward. "Sorry..." He hiccuped. While he was embarassed belching did make his tummy feal alot less full and a bit more hungry. [/color

Paw smiled at Logen and gently licked his muzzle; “I’d love to be your friend Logen” The fox-like pup said gently, wagging her bushy tail; she had a crush on him! “And don’t worry about what my friends or I might think of you hiccupping and that; there’s nothing wrong with things like that that you can’t help, especially if they help you feel better!”

Nuka smiled at Macy, “Well then let’s go; your are fantastic Macy; I hope it works for you and Zulu! Goodbye Aleu, Zulu, and Paw” he said lovingly” He pulled the door open and started to lead the small animals and the other dogs off towards Woodland Park.“Bye Nuka, Bye Macy I Love you both Zulu said and bye to the rest of you Zulu continued.

Meanwhile…“Hawhe? I wasn’t thinking straight when I said what I did to you before, sorry; you can come with me if you like or stay here and meet Aleu! I must go with Nuka and help him right now... bye or see you on the escort.” Konrad said and took his place in the small animal escort.

“Bye Nuka Dear” Aleu said.

The other dogs said goodbye too.

Meanwhile Tiaki had heard the approach of Kau, the wind was blowing towards Kau and Tiaki couldn’t smell him he tensed, shifting his weight from one paw to the other and feeling nervous. Then he saw Kau emerge through the bushes, he relaxed; “Hi Kau” he said.

“Hi Tiaki,” Kau said “things are going well at the Lab, good Job guarding the food! Listen you need to take the food cart to that cave you and K?hui found. But just wait a minute or so until my mate Toa returns and gets some food for a pup at the lab; oh here she is now”

“Err ok” Tiaki said vaguely, “Yes I can do that and guard it” he said more confidentially

Toa had been looking around the dump and had soon found a plastic toy bucket. There was crack in the bottom of it and some of the rim was broken but it was ok for minced chicken a few seconds later she found another bucket with a tight fitting lid. It was blue and had a picture of a teddy bear on it that was peeling of and the blue was fading Humans are so wasteful she thought, as she put the other bucket inside it. Both had handles, she left the dump and quickly found Tiaki and Kau “Hi Tiaki, hi Kau” she said and went the cart. Quickly she found a bag of minced chicken and emptied it into the bucket with a cracked bottom. The pitbull pulled out a carton of homemade chicken soup and making two holes in the top poured it into the lidded bucket and pushed the lid on tightly.
“Thanks Tiaki, you can take the cart to the cave now; thanks!” Toa said and picking up the bucket of chicken soup she made sure that Kau had the other bucket and was with her; then they trotted off to the lab, they arrived just as the others where leaving.

“Oh goodbye Daddy and everyone” Paw said as she snuggled with Logen “oh Logen; Toa and Kau who went get the chicken and chicken soup are back with it!”

"Well the dogs are off now Shanya said, not long now until you get rescued cute kitties!"

Tiaki pulled the cart up and into the cave and settled down to guard it he didn’t mind missing out on the action that sort of thing made him nervous, his half sister K?hui would tell the others.

Halfblack, Black and Shadow said they would stay

Greystripe looked away when they said parents and owners, the truth was he had only been in Scotland long enough to open his eyes so he said nothing.

Cream had noticed Greystripe look away, she wondered what was bothering him “If you want to talk to me or Quinn about anything your welcome” she said, “Quinn is streetwise-and a smart cat too, she’s like my mum!”

Quinn smiled over at Greystripe “Creams right you can ask us anything you want; if you want me to be your mother you are welcome but if you would prefer not to that’s fine with me, but I’m always here to help me if you need any advice” she said. “I know about humans, and the good and bad about living on the street.”

“Greystripe if you don’t want to have human owners you go and live in a big park called Central park you have the opportunity to do so. Our leader Nuka a dog who is friendly to cats is going to help everyone who wants to go and live there do so, it’s the best place for us animals to live in NYC!” Columbus said.

“Hey cats the dogs have left Shanya said excitedly they will be coming back for you soon!”

Nuka started to lead the dogs and small animals out of the lab and across the lab aria towards the hole in the fence, followed by the other dogs of the small animal escort group.

Ok Hawhe see you soon Konrad said he winked at Halfblack and followed Nuka and the others.

Aleu was looking at shadow, “Shadow? Is that you it is remember me from Sproul state forest- a year ago? So Halfblack is your daughter and black your mate?” By luck Aleu didn’t ask shadow if she had any other pups.

Shakira had noticed that Toa and Kau had returned she tipped her empty food bow on its edge and through the bars of the cage and smiled at Papi.

The bowl landed in front of the red and white husky with a clatter he understood and picked the water bowl up and put it down in the basket next to Logen.

Thanks Papi-and Shakira Toa said and tipped a small amount of chicken soup into the bowl.

"Good idea Shakira" Suki said an did the same with her food bowl pushing it out to Suta (Skull).

It landed on the floor in front of Suta, Suta picked it up and put it into the basket next to the other bowl.

Kau pawed a small mouth-full of minced chicken into the bowl.

Paw had sat up when Papi put the first bowl into the basket to make more room the “There you go Loggen this will help make you feel better an you’ll get more soon!” she said smiling at her new friend.
