"He and the sled team headed back for Nome, where Jenna had put an aurora up using broken glass, I'll show you when we get to Nome, to lead Balto home." she said. "The sled team nearly got stuck in an avalanche but escaped into an ice cave. They ended up nearly getting caught in a cave in but got out just in time." she said. "They made it back to Nome and boy when the other dogs found out what Steele did, they were MAD, this dog named Dixie slapped him in the face." she said. "All the kids were healed and Balto was considered a hero, finally seen for who he was, not what he was." she said. "And he got the girl, Jenna became his mate and is your grandmother."

Tina put Max in a head lock and rubbed her paw into his head. "It was all good."
Luke nodded. "Yeah, I can't wait to meet Grandpa Balto!"

"So you're leaving me with grandpa?" asked Luke. "I guess this will be fun."
"That's the way to think." said Aleu. "It will be ok, your grandpa and grandma are two of the nicest dogs out there." she said.

"We'll be staying overnight with them." said Aleu. "That way we're rested for the return trip."
Niju was on a iceburg, one of his menions pushing it, making sure he wasn't seen by Aleu. "I'll get you...and your little pups too." he said to himself.

Aleu curled around her pups, both to reassure them and protect them from unseen danger. "Don't worry, I'd never let anyone hurt you." she said, her voice soft and gentlem a mother's voice. "If someone is watching us, they're in no position to harm us on top of this whale."
Luke looked around, suddenly glad they were going somewhere far from this place.

"Still a good ways." said Aleu. She smiled and looked up, it wasn't night but where they were, so far north, made it so they could see the six month night in the Artic Circle from where they were, and an aurora. "Look."

Tina's eyes sparkled, as did Lukes. "Its so pretty."
Aleu smiled. "The Northern Lights." she said. They'd never let the pups out at night, for their protection, so they'd never seen the Northern Lights before. "That's far to the north over their, there its night time for six months of the year and day time for six."

"You see the sunshine hits the icecaps and when it shines through it, it creates the Northern Lights." said Aleu, she knew this wasn't true but its how her father had told her originally and it was an easy way to explain it to a puppy, who could understand how it really happened.
