"I hope you don't either," Maria said. "I know what its like to be rejected. Some of the other pups think that I;m some girly-girl because my fur is mostly white and they think that I don't want to get it dirty or something. They hardly let me play with them." She looked at her paws.
"And eager and sometimes coming on a little too strong for most dogs comfort," Rose added.
