Limber's eyes Shoot open. "Yes, Cheyanne. What do you need?" She is alert, even though she was still a little tired. She was wondering if there was trouble in the pack. She is ready for whatever's coming up. "What's wrong? Has something gone wrong?"

"No. Nothing is wrong. I just need you to do something for me." Cheyanne said walking lut of the den with Limber. "Look, I want you too become an omega wolf. Instead of being and alpha.. However, omegas can not have pups." Cheyanne sighed. Waiting to hear what she'd say.

Markus rushed up to the den cliff from the forest as fast as he could, skidding to a halt in front of Cheyanne and Limber.

"Cheyanne!!" Markus exclaimed, his voice a bit hoarse, still out of breath from running a couple miles straight. "Please forgive me for interrupting, but it's urgent!!" he said, frantically.

Zasshu heard the ruckus going on outside, so he stepped out of the den and joined Cheyanne, Limber, and Markus to see what was going on.

"Hunters! There's five more of them!" Markus continued, still panting for breath. "I saw it with my own eyes! Just three miles northeast in the Mountain Lands, just at the base of Rivendell Summit, five hunters set up a dead elk under one of the trees at the bottom of Rivendell Summit, but before they left I saw them poison it as a trap to kill us and capture us, and then they drove off!"

"What?!!" Zasshu retorted, letting out a growl in disgust. "Now those savage humans are trying to POISON us?!!"

"Affirmative." Markus nodded. "I saw it all happen with my own eyes. So I rushed back home as fast as I could to warn all of you." Markus then flattened his ears cautiously, aware of the possibility that Zasshu would most likely be angered, before adding the most important part, and Zasshu perked his ears, listening intently.

"Zasshu..." Markus started, slowly. "There's one more thing you should know. Your son Zach first started getting sick the day he and I went out hunting. We found two rabbits that were already dead, so I decided to take one back to the den, but Zach decided to eat the other right then. I told him he should save it for when we got back to the den, but he said he was really hungry and didn't want to wait. Then a couple hours later, Zach said he wasn't feeling good and started vomiting. When you told him to sleep it off he blacked out and, well... as you know, we all thought he passed away that night, and he almost did..." Markus then looked Zasshu in the eyes, and said very gently, knowing it would hit Zasshu hard, "Zasshu... I think one of those same five hunters may have poisoned Zach."

Zasshu stayed quiet for a minute, then slowly bared his fangs and let out a snarl in anger.

"That's IT!! These humans are MONSTERS!" Zasshu growled angrily. "They almost killed my son! It's high time we put an end to them once and for all! I will NOT let them hurt or kill ANYONE ELSE!!"

Notice how I named the mountain Rivendell Summit? Rivendell is the name of one of two cities where the Elves dwell in the Lord of the Rings trilogy. The name of the other Elven city is Edoras. Yeah, I'm a dedicated Lord of the Rings fan. = P I also plan to see the movie The Hobbit which just came out in theatres. The Hobbit is actually the prologue to The Lord of the Rings, you know.

Cheyanne bared her teeth and called the entire pack. Her pups stayed in the den. "I need all wolves to assemble and follow me to Rivendell Summit. "Cheyanne snarled as she bolted out. She ran faster each step she took. Reaching Rivendell Summit, she sniffed around for a sent, she saw the elk but ignored it. She found the hunter's scents and ran like a lightning bolt. She hurdled logs, and boulders, ran underneath fallen down trees lifted by two separated pieces of ground. "Let's go, now!" Cheyanne snarled.



Miles away, the hunters are loading their guns and thier truck. It was getting dark, but ignored that as well.

Limber started running. She was thinking, "An Omega?! What happened?! I... I... What did I do wrong? Maybe I can make a compromise..." She was so saddened by what her Alpha said. She ran up to her, but then turned away, for this probably wasn't the best time. She was going to try to make herself a beta. She couldn't be an Omega. Or she could stay Alpha, and just not mate. She didn't know what to do. Her pups were old enough to hunt. She didn't need to baby them anymore. "That must be the reason. I'm spending too much time with the pups! They're old enough now, they can help with the Pack anyway!" She ran up next to her Alphas ready to fight.

Cheyanne elled through the sound of paws running."Limber, I changed my mind about being an omega. You'll be a beta now." Cheyanne ran until she saw people gathered around the pickup truck. She skidded to a hault and turned sideways is the process. Making the pack stop too the blockage of Cheyanne's body. Her tail was straight out. She growled. The hunters head it got their guns. "Why did you do that, they heard us!" Shinso said walking up. "Hush!" Cheyanne barked. She led the pack close to the trees that surrounded them.

"Beta will work..." She said softly, even though it wasn't what she had hoped for. Oh well. She wondered if Ash would be a Beta too. She snapped out of her mindset because of the current situation at hand.

One of the hunters spotted a wolf and shot him. He fell. Cheyanne seemed worried. How powerful were their guns? Would we make it through this? All of a sudden, Markus ran snarling and leaped after the hunter, grabbing his gun. Another hunter loaded his gun and took aim. Hit, as Markus fell, his body seemed to float, like a feather. Cheyanne's brother, Dusty, ran after the hunt that had shot Markus. He jumped and snarled loudly. Grabbing his gun, the first hunter, shot at Dusty. "Dusty! " Cheyanne screamed. Cheyanne ran, jumped, and pushed Dusty out of the way. The bullet hit. Cheyanne hit the ground. Everyone froze. Dusty got and ran to her. The entire pack including El Chupacabra, RipSlinger, and Cheyanne's family. RipSlinger, Bulldog, and El Chupacabra took to the hunters. Each with guns in their mouths, it was almost impossible to shoot. Dusty cried with his head up against hers.

Zasshu and Markus both lay on the ground, as they were the first two of the pack that were shot. Zachary stood over Zasshu and Markus, trying frantically to wake them.

"Dad! Uncle Markus! You gotta get up!" Zach begged. "Please, please be ok!" Zach cried, tears falling down his cheeks.

Meanwhile, Shinso and June stayed by Dusty and Cheyanne, making sure that Cheyanne would be okay.

(Zasshu wasn't shot, it was an omega wolf and Markus)

(Oh.. sorry then, my bad. take zasshu out of that part and lets go from there then)

(Alright. So, Cheyanne was hit with a bullet, what now?)

Ash quickly stood up as he heard gunfires."Limber!Cheyanne!Zasshu!"he shouted.Ash ran out the den and followed their scents.Ash's pups followed him since they were now older.Ash saw the hunters.Ash was going to make a risky move.Ash came from the side and bit one of the hunter's necks.Ash gripped so hard on his neck it almost came off.Ash let go and ran to the other hunter and did the same."Don't mess with my friends and their families."he growled.

RipSlinger, Bulldog and El Chupacabre killed the hunters already Arctic....

Cheyanne was still breathing, but bleeding a lot.

"You're gonna be okay Cheyanne." Zasshu whispered, worriedly. "I'll make sure of it." Zasshu then started to lick Cheyanne's wounds clean.
