Toby: Whos your best friend? And your not allowed to say Luna!

Luna: Can you apply your womanly persuation skills and drag out some info from DT for me? Im really itching to start on this projcect we are planning. Or will we have to wait for permission untill we can start?

Toby and Luna: How far have you come with teaching the pups about the world? Like why birds fly south for the winter, why water freezes in the winter, and how the sun rises.

Toby: Okay, my mate.
Luna: (smirking) Technically, he didn't say my name.


Luna: Sorry, only works on dogs. And no matter what his girlfriend may say, he doesn't count.
Dragon Tamer: Okay, okay, I can take a hint. Silwer, best I can think of for now is to try writing ideas back and forth in PMs or something, kind of like an RP but with longer posts.


Caspar: Dad's taught us lots of things. Like how water freezes because the little drops get so cold they have to bunch together. And the sun's not really going up, we're just swinging around it like a yo-yo on an invisible string, and the reason it looks like it's moving is because the earth is spinning like a yo-yo does.
Luna: What? Toby, have you been listening to Charlie's books again?
Toby: He was doing his science homework, honey. It wasn't Greek mythology or...
Luna: That's beside the point. You can't believe everything these humans come up with. I mean come on, the earth as a giant yo-yo? Now what did you tell them about the birds going south?
Toby: The humans are still working on that one. Some think they're following the sun kind of like moths follow lanterns.
Luna: Oh brother.

Toby: *mumbles* Being tricky eh?

DT: Sounds like a plan^^

Caspar: So thats the secret of the sun... I always belived it to be the gravitational pull from the sun itself that made earth move around it in an orbital projectory... proves how wrong one can be

Toby: Well, it keeps my head in place.
Luna: And don't you forget it.


Dragon Tamer: OK, send me any ideas you have and we'll see what we can come up with.


Caspar: Well, that's how Dad said it worked.
Toby: [shrugs] I was only going by the pictures in that book Charlie left open. I'm a dog; I don't really read much.

Toby/Caspar: Well its better than the Norwegian Samians theory that the sun is carried over the sky by a a giant invisible bear...Up with reading!

Toby: [to Luna] Now that sounds like one of those old family stories.
Luna: Yeah, I guess it does. Still fun to listen to.
Caspar: Is that anything like the one about that George guy killing a dragon?
Melchior: What's a dragon anyway?
Toby: Well, it's kind of a big scary reptile-thing.
Star: What's a reptile?
Toby: Well, it's got scales like a fish, but it walks around on land. Some of them swim too - Grandpa says the swimming ones were the worst when he lived down south.
Luna: Hm, and you think my side of the family has weird stories?
Toby: Ever read Charlie's?

Toby & Luna: I know it was very hard to deal with angel when she started to turn around to a life that was bad. Now that she's back to normal, has any of your views on parenthood changed? Or have they simply been modified? Also, it's been said that one of the hardest parts of prenthood is letting your kids go, now that your kids are finding homes of their own, do you find this true?

Luna: What was your thoughts when Star thought she was ugly?(Which I didn't think she was, just to be straight with it)

Toby: Well, we initially thought that parenting would be a simple matter of me bringing up the boys and Luna taking care of the girls. But we realized that just doesn't work.
Luna: I should have seen it coming, I guess. Mom and I were always close, but there were some things I just needed Dad for. Of course now that they're... not around anymore...
Toby: It's alright, honey. I miss them too. But we'll see lots of them anyway.
Luna: I know. But it's not easy.
Toby: They'll be fine. Now that they have humans to look after them, it'll be easier for them to stay out of trouble. That was something else we needed to learn: sometimes the ones that seem the most independent need the most care.


Luna: At first I couldn't believe it when she told me. I think all the puppies are beautiful.
Caspar: Eh-hem...
Luna: Or handsome. But I guess that's part of the reason they need attention from both of us. I'll never forget the way Star's face lit up when she heard Toby say she was beautiful. Must be the man's opinion.

All: If you could go back and change one moment in your life, just one moment, what would it be?

Toby: The moment I heard about that big sled race. I almost killed myself out there.
Kodi: Yeah, but you saved our tails out there too, remember?
Toby: Oh, yeah.
Pete: I'd try to be less of a jerk when I found out Mom was with Rex. If I had handled that different, my whole life since then would have been a lot better, not to mention just about everyone else's. Especially Mom's.
Terry: I appreciate that, Pete.
Arrow: I can sympathize with Uncle Pete. I'd have to toss up between agreeing to help Groven against Chase and her pack by distracting Mom and Dad, or when I ran away on Christmas Eve. Both of those really hurt someone I care about.
Pete: What about you, Mom? You don't seem to have a whole lot of regrets.
Luna: Well, that happens at my age. Looking back, I see a lot of things I would have changed at the time. But all of them seem to fall into place so perfectly that I can't think of any other way I'd want it to end up. I have a wonderful mate, a good home, pups and grandpups who don't give me too much grief... all in all, my only regret is that I didn't have a bigger family when I had the chance.
Luna: Funny you should mention that. The one time in my life I would have changed was having the pups.
[everyone stares in surprise]
Arrow: You would change that? I thought you said that was the happiest day of your life.
Luna: Exactly. That moment after they were born, when the pain was over and they were right there... it wasn't even close to long enough.

That last question got me thinking, what event/thing etc.etc. would you NEVER want to change?

Toby: Running into Luna?
Luna: (facetiously) Oh, that was unexpected.
Toby: No, no, I mean it. Getting to know you was the best thing that ever happened to me. Although I guess the headbutt was something I could live without.
Luna: Nah, it was truth in advertising. Anyway, who said I was complaining?
Rex: I guess all said and done, mine would be moving to Nome.
Toby: (laughing) You? Mister No-Such-Thing-As-A-?
Rex: I know, I know. But let's face it. If I hadn't moved to Nome, I never would have gotten involved in the police here. Never would have made some of the best friends I've ever had. I would never have fallen in love, or fathered the most impetuous, irrepressable dog on earth... [looks at Toby] ...whom I absolutely think the world of. The weather is beastly, the food is tough and tasteless, and some of the people are even worse. But it's been worth every minute.
Toby: Dad...
Luna: [nuzzling Toby] Let's face it, hon, he did it right.
Toby: Yeah, so what wouldn't you change?
Luna: Silly, you finding out I was related to Steele. Sure it was painful, but it was best that it happened when it did.
Terry: Speaking of painful... well, my first reastion is to say that I wouldn't change meeting Rex. The truth is, I would have liked for that to happen some way other than how it did. A lot of painful things went in with it. Really, I wouldn't change bringing up our kids. I'll admit some of them have given me quite a bit of grief, but without that they never would have grown up to be who they are. So it was worth every minute. And I guess so was meeting Rex.

Toby and Luna: Looking back, do you miss your childhood? I can't think of any better way to say it than that.

Toby: Yeah, sometimes. There are times when I look at the pups doing crazy or goofy stunts and miss the days when I did the same stuff. And sometimes if I see them doing something I never thought to do, I wish I was young enough to do it without being told to act my age.
Luna: As if you've ever let that stop you from doing it anyway.
Toby: Oh, like you don't miss the days when you didn't have to be so grown-up?
Luna: Well, once in a while. I remember days when we could laugh off just about anything, no matter how serious it was, and I do miss the innocence we used to have. Ouch! [looks back at the pup chewing on her tail] Not to mention that extra inch or two I used to have on my tail.
Toby: (laughing) Luna, you know you're exaggerating. Your tail is just fine.
Luna: Hmm, guess I'm not quite as grown-up as I thought.

Luna/Toby: Now that the pups are getting older, starting to pay attention to their looks, looks for friends outside the family, and generaly grow up. What are your thoughts around that? And what about the boys? Any adventures on that side of the alley?
