The woman's glance was drawn downwards as the male dog lickde at his leg. A splint seemed to be attatched to the bone. She nodded to herself, vaguely thinking of a solution.

Loki stopped licking his leg, after the woman saw the splint. "What do we do now, just lay down?" he asked.

Sadie shrugged. "Dunno..." she murmured.

"Come here boy," the woman whistled, opening a door, she walked inside.

Loki asked Sadie, "Come too?" and started to walk into the other room, "Please?"

"Sure," Sadie said, and padded through the door. It led to a staircase, which she carefully walked down. She then arrived at a sterile room, with some minor equipment placed around a single bed covered in a material similiar to tissue paper. "Come here boy," the woman said, patting the bed.

Loki came to the woman, with his ears flattened, scared. He figured she wanted him on the bed, so he tried to jump onto it.

She patted the dog's head, his fur thick and surprisingly in good shape. She examined the splint, noticing it was attatched to the bone. Realizing she would have to knock the male out, she grabbed a dart, thinking it would be quicker this way. "Sorry," she murmured, and plunged it into him.

Loki quickly fell asleep, after the dart hit him and he yelped a little.

Sadie barked in surprise, her eyes widening.

"It's only so he doesn't feel pain," the woman assured her. She began to get to work, washing her hands and putting on gloves, etc. Soon, she was prepared to do surgery. After an hour so of hard work, sweat, and contemplating and constantly revising her methods of removing the splint, it was finally set aside, and she was bandaging the leg, glad the stitches had went in well. "Bring him back to me in a few weeks, so I can take the sticthes out," she advised, as a force of habit really.

Loki slowy woke, hearing the woman's last sentence. "Hi Sayyydi." he yawned.

"Loki!" Sadie said, relief coursing through her. She rushed over to him, brown eyes warm. "You feel okay?" she asked, now sounding a bit ocnerned for his welfare.

"Yes, yes." Loki assured her, "A lot better, since that splints gone."

Sadie smiled. "Good," she said, impulsivly licking his cheek.

"We leaving?" he asked, getting off the table.

"Yeah, we are. I just think we should say good-bye first," Sadie said.

As she spoke, the woman walked back in again. "Leaving already?" she asked, seeing them. A small sigh escaped her, that turned into a smile as the female dog licked her hand and cheek, her tail wagging. Her brown eyes said a soft good-bye, and the woman rubbed her fingers through her golden fur.
