"Logan..." said Aleu, looking over the cliff. "Isn't this where..." she said, refering to were she fell off a cliff all those years ago.

Aleu nodded. "Yeah, it is." she said. "Still freaks me out a little."

Aleu nodded. "I remember how much that hurt." she said. "It was really painful." she said. "Anyway, lets go tell Luke."

Aleu soon saw their den. She went in. "Hello Marina." she said to the den mother. She then looked at her pups. "Hello guys."
Tina jumpped on Logan and licked his face, happy he was back.
"Momma! Papa!" yelled Luke, happy to see his parents.

"Is it about that mean Niju?" asked Tina.
"No, its...about Luke." said Aleu.
"Me?" asked Luke, confused. "What about me?"

"You see...my dad is half wolf, half dog." said Aleu. "My brothers and sisters are more dog than wolf, well I'm more wolf than dog." she said. "Well, history repeated itself, your siblings are more wolf than dog and you're more dog than wolf." she said.
Luke looked worried. "A-alright but...w-why are they disturbed by it?"

"Luke, you will never fit in here." said Aleu. "I had the same problem and I know how that must feel." she said. "There is only one thing to do, we've got to take you to Nome so you can live with other dogs." she said.
Luke started crying. "But I don't want to go!" he said, crying. "I want to live with you!"

Aleu laid down to be at face level with her baby. "Luke, look at me Luke." she said softly, nuzzling the pup. He looked her in the eyes. "We all have somewhere we belong." she said. "I looked like a wolf, I didn't belong with dogs, you look like a dog, you don't belong with wolves." she said. "I don't want to be away from you anymore than you want to be away from me but I don't want you to be unhappy and if I force you to stay somewhere you don't belong, it would be even worse for both of us."
Luke sniffled. He looked to Logan. "Do you feel the same way papa?"
