Three others were born and then she stopped, licking them off gently, she looked up at Togo.

Togo smiled and nuzzled her. "4 I guess, that's good. Least we aren't at 7 or 8"

Fallen nodded, "Yeah." she said, she smiled and nuzzled him back.

Bob stood back and let her take care of them.

Togo laid down slowly next to her looking down at the pups smiling.

Togo looked over at two boy pups who where very slow and seemed to be skinny, "Fallen." he said and pointed his nose at them.

Fallen looked at them, then at Bob, she whined.

Bob walked over cautiously, he knew that mother dogs could be protective and wolves were even more so, he bent down and examined them, he looked grave.

Togo set his ears back flat against his head and looked over at the two pups and licked them a few times.

Bob patted Fallen's head. "I don't know how well they'll make it." he said.

Fallen looked at the two and nuzzled them.

Togo pushed them closer to Fallen so they can be warm enough.

Fallen made sure they were both warm and secure before lying down her head.

Bob smiled, "alright, try and get some rest." he said and left the room.

While over night Togo kept on watching the two boys to make sure they where all right. Not hearing that much he got a little closer to them to hear their little hears beating.

Fallen fell asleep. She was very tired.

When morning awoke Togo had just woken up to check on the pups, he was asleep and awake all night and was getting tired, when he put his ear towards the pups he did hear anything, he nosed one slightly but didn't move back, lifeless... Togo nudged fallen awake, "Fallen.." he said in a low voice and he pointed at the pups again.

Fallen was jolted from her sleep, she looked at the two sickly boys, her heart 'stopped' she sniffed them, tears formed in her eyes. She felt like a terrible mother...
