Sydney slapped herself mentally. Oh gosh i can't be alone with him! She thought.
"No, Adam you don't have to, i doubt Hope is in the woods nayways."

"C'mon Adam, don't you have an early mornin' practice tomorrow?" Scotty asked.

"Umm... yeah, okay..." he muttered.

Sydney nodded. "I'll be..fine.." She assured him, and herself.

Leann got Adam and walked with him to the car.

Scotty looked from his friend back to Sydney, "You sure you'll be alright?"

"No, but i am almost 50% sure." Sydney replied with a smile.

Scotty sighed and groaned "Alright... I'll see ya at the house..." he said turning and walking to the car.

"hopefully.." Sydney muttered, watching him leave.

Scotty climbed into the car and looked back at Adam who was playing with his phone. Scotty started the car and after a moment of hesitation he reluctantly turned and drove off.

Once they were gone, Sydney moved down to the water's edge, taking a stick and dragging it through the water.

Adam was silent the entire ride home, they dropped off Leann and went back to the house, Adam was goign to stay over with Scotty, so they could play video games.

Sydney sighed, looking up at the sky.
"The stars really are pretty.." She mumbled, as if someone were there.

The boys went inside silently, Scotty could tell Adam had wanted to stay but he didn't say anything.

"Adam-"

"Scotty, I'm just gonna go get the video game started..." the red head muttered hurrying off up the stairs.

Sydney hummed quietly to herself, before jumping at the sound of footsteps behind her.
"Hey thur pretty-lady." A man's voice slurred. Sydney stood, backing up slightly when he came into view. He looked like he was in his mid-20's, a five o'clock shadow, tear stained eyes and a bear bottle in hand.
"You got dumped too?" He asked, and Sydney sighed; he didn''t seem harmful.
"No," She repliied.

"Meow!"

The sound of Rusty made Scotty flinch and look at the cat, he sat looking at a picture of Adam, Sydney, and Scotty together.

"Hey, Rusty..." Scotty sighed.

Adam had just gone upstairs and was looking thoughtfully out the window.

"Mh." The man replied, sitting down by water's edge. Sydney slowly inched back down, looking at him curiously.
"My name's Sam, by the way." He said, holding out his hand for Sydney to shake.
"Sydney." She replied, shaking it firmly.

.::Hours later::.

Sydney and Sam talked for hours, before Sam fell asleep, and Sydney stayed awake. He was a very interesting character, thought Sydney.
