(hehe x3 cool, we'll have to start tomorrow though, cause I gtg now XP)

Nate was looking over pictures of the family. Most where Heather as a kid.

"What is Atticus's last name?" her Father asked curiously, "I think I know him... When the bank was robbed last year, I think one of the young officer's name was Atticus... Something or another?"

"Saprano." Heather answered automatically.

After a few hours Nate stood and looked at heather "Can we go now, heather?" he asked.

"Sure," Heather replied.

(I'm gonna timeskip a little, hope that's okay.)

A few weeks later, in the early morning light. Nate came sneaking down the stairs, silently. He stood at the foot of the stairs, and listened for any sounds. He happily realized Atticus and Heather where still asleep. Given that opportunity Nate snuck over to the counter where Atticus laid his jacket. In Nate's hand was a ring. A golden ring, it had one blue gemstone, with diamonds at it's sides. Nate grinned and slipped the ring into Atticus's coat pocket. Then he turned and fled silently back up the stairs.

Atticus was still in his room, sleeping soundly with his arms around Heather. He was unaware that Nate had been downstairs, he didn't even know the boy was awake.

Heather slept soundly, breathing in Atticus's scent and being engulfed in his warmth. They hadn't seen Tommy in weeks, and Heather was thankful for it. Atticus had made a full recovery, more or less, and everything seemed to be going so smoothly. As usual, the sun spilled through the drapes and landed on Heather's face first. The light behind her eyelids turned red and she blinked, her face annoyed at the golden rays that painted her face and made her fair shine on her head. She squiented and stirred slightly, blinking away the rays that cut into her caramel eyes.

Atticus opened one blue eye and smiled slightly when he saw Heather attempting to fight away the rays of light. He gave a small chuckle, and covered her eyes softly with his hand to shield her from the sun. "Is that better?" he asked softly, a grin on his face as he moved closer to her, and softly kissed her neck.

Heather giggled when Atticus's rough but gentle hands blocked her vision. "Much better." She confirmed, shivering with delight as he lips trailed her neck.

Atticus chuckled and propped himself up on his elbow, so he could look at her. He smiled, gently turned her head so she would look at him, and moved his hand, so he could see her pretty eyes. He smiled and brushed some hair from her face and held his hand on her cheek. "G'morning beautiful." Atticus smiled kissing her nose.

Heather yawned and smiled, "Did you have any good dreams?" She asked in a hushed voice.

Atticus yawned and sat up, shaking his head slowly. "Nah, I don't usually dream." he said getting up and pulling on some jeans and a shirt. He thought a minute then smiled "You wanna go out today? We've been stuck in the house with Nate for, what... three weeks?" he asked sitting back on the edge of the bed.

Heather nodded and slipped out of bed also. She’d recently moved all of her stuff here, including her cat, Jasper. The silver tom was curled on Scout’s body, purring in his sleep. Heather chuckled at the sight and shifted through her drawer, she pulled out a cute top and some jeans then scooped up Jasper, who meowed in confusion and irritation.

Scout whimpered and lifted his head slowly when his little friend was moved. At first they hated eachother, Scout had wanted to use Jasper as a toy, and would usually carry him around by his scruff. However, that always resulted in the big dog getting attacked, which could be seen by the small scratch marks on his muzzle. Atticus chuckled and walked out into the living room. He didn't see Nate spying on him from the upstairs balcony.

"You wanna go out ot breakfast?" Heather asked, setting Jasper back down and looking at Atticus.

Nate shook his head, "Say no... Take her to the greenhouse!" he whispered crossing his fingers. The greenhouse was just that. A rundown green house they had found a few years ago. They had hung up Christmas lights and put a fire pit in the center. Nate thought it was the greatest place in the world, he was convinced Atticus had to take Heather, and propose to her there, once he found the ring.

Atticus was about to reply but he noticed Nate shaking his head and mouthing 'Take her to the greenhouse'. Attie grinned and looked at Heather "I have a better idea!" he smiled.
