"Only if you want me to hear." Zero said, sitting. "It's your choice if you let me listen or not."

Lucky yawned and soon fell asleep, he smiled in his sleep and his tail continued to sway slowly.

All right listen,Zero, I'm not into repeating myself, but for your sake I will.I've wanted to get out of this rotten business for a long time, problem is, I borrowed some money from a mob boss a while back, and he wanted it back, I told him what happened at the club where Charlie gambled, and he got real interested when I mentioned his name...A couple days ago,he and some other guys kidnapped Sasha, and they're holding her someplace downtown. The boss hopes he can get some sort of ransom from Charlie, otherwise he might do away with her if he doesn't get what he wants, and here's the thing, he won't stop there, he'll go after the other tenants in this building too if he thinks they're worth anything. the cops are worthless too. So there's likely to be a gang war soon. And I kinda want to be in it."

Zero nodded slowly. "I see..." He gave it some thought.

" I've never had an interest in romance, but I know what I would do if my friends were in trouble, though I have none," Ace said quietly.

Ace sighed, "They're all dead." he said flatly, "It's a long story."

Ace hesitated for a second, then clasped it in his own. "Comrades," he said,"We'll get Sasha back,in the meantime, lay low, I'm going back to the streets to see what I can find. And,Barkin, don't get yourself into trouble." Ace ran off.

Nika felt sleep wash over her like a tidal wave. The dream came to her almost at once, she was walking through a familiar alley way, and a familiar crate was not far down."Nika...Sweetie...Come home." The eerie, but sweet sounding voice came from the crate, but she couldn't see who it was, a tattered light red blanket was sloppily hung over the opening, but Nika didn't need to see the face, she knew who the eerie voice belonged to."Mom?" Nika didn't feel the intense anger towards her mother oddly, she felt the happiness and joy of the fact that her mother was there.Nika slowly walked foward, each step throwing up a cloud of fog.Nika was still a little frightened on the happiness she received from her mother's voice as she pushed herself onward. She stepped into the crate and felt herself shrink back into pup size, her once long and gorgeous tail turning into a short and stubby scrap of fur, a avarage pup's tail.Nika liked the feeling of her large and clumsy paws on her body, and her sweet smell of her puppy breath."Momma!Momma!I'm coming momma!" Her innocence had restored itself and her cute voice rung out like tiny bells. As she ran into the crate, darkness sorrounded her, the crate was much, much larger than it had been when she was a pup."Nika, come home sweetie." Her mother's voice came again, still as eerie as before. After running for awhile she relized she couldn't even see any of the crate anymore, just blacknes with a faint blue light at the very end.As she finnaly made it to the end she took in the sweet smell of mother's milk. She felt a warm embrace sorround her and she smiled happily. But as she opened her eyes she looked up,she saw the face of her mother, and the feel of terror washed over her and he dream faded away.

"Charlie, he wasn't going to hurt you. He wants your help to save Sasha." Zero said, watching Charlie. "C'mon, be a big dog and be brave."
