"Okay!" Rue laughed, standing up. She walked towards the shore of the lake that was nearby.

Setsuko trotted down towards the lake, Jaci following. She stared eagerly around at the glistening water. She hadn't been swimming in ages!

Rue's brown eyes lit up at the sight of the glittering blue water, and she increased her pace, reaching it quickly. She kicked off her shoes, dipping her feet in and smiling as the cool water brushed against her skin.

Setsuko pulled off her clothes down to her underwear and jumped in, swimming out to a deeper part of the lake. Jaci followed somewhat subconsciously, thick pelt soaking through. He fell under for a moment and then resurfaced, partially-grown dark mane hanging heavily in front of his eyes. Setsuko laughed as Jaci tried to shake it off while at the same time constantly moving his paws. Setsuko swam in a circle around him. Jaci tried desperately to keep an eye on her, spinning restlessly in one place. Setsuko stopped for a moment, glancing at Rue, who was standing in the shallower area, closer to the lakeshore. "Coming?" She called.

Rue nodded, taking off her clothes rapidly. SHe backed up out of the water, then took a running leap. She curled into a ball before she hit the water, sending up a huge wave. She surfaced, laughing and shaking a strand of wet hair out of her eyes.

Setsuko laughed joyously as some droplets from Rue's splash hit her face. Jaci mewed and flicked his wet ear.

Rue swam a few strokes over to Setsuko, still grinning happily.

Setsuko splashed Rue playfully, swimming away and glancing at her teasingly. "Splash fight?" She offered, a mischievous grin clouding her face.

IN response, Rue splashed Setsuko, using her arm to create a fairly big wave. "What do you think?" she asked.

Setsuko stared at her, eyes half closed, but still smiling widely. "Not bad." She complemented. "But wait'll you see this!" She took a deep breath, and then slowly, but quickly gaining momentum. swung her arm through the water. The liquid sprang up, high above them, crashing down on Rue. Setsuko gazed at her, calmly but triumphantly.

Rue sputtered, spitting out a mouthful of bad-tasting lake water. "I should'nt of agreed to it, should I?" she asked with fake gloominess.

Setsuko grinned. "Sorry!" She replied a bit sheepishly. But it's so much fun! And pretty tempting, since I haven't been swimming in ages!" She tilted her head back and rolled her eyes up at the word ages. Then she glanced back at Rue. "What do you want to do, then?"

"DO you we have to do anything special while swimming?" Rue asked.

"No....I don't think so, anyways. Why do you ask?" Setsuko responded curiously.

"Cause you were asking what I wanted t do," Rue asked, feeling confused. "Then I was asking why we had to do something special why swimming, or if we had too," she tried to explain.
