"We used to be part of the same pack," Canyon said. It was obvious he was loosing himself to the memory. "You see, I was born in a different pack than this one. It wasn't veru large. It was mostly just a few families living together. Before I was born, one of the wolves found her in a den. It was obvious hunters had been there. There was one surviving pup, though there was a trail of another pup. I guess that must have been you." He looked up at Balto with a small smile before going back to his story. "I guess Sonya just sorta joined the pack. I grew up with her around. She was like a mentor to me. But she never stopped looking for her family. She was determined to find her father and any siblings that had lived. One day, we were attacked by a group of men. I was still young, barely older than Ana and Maria. I was lucky to escape, but most of my pack wasn;t. Even Sonya. I tried to follow there trucks, but when they went into this town, I gave up. I figured they'd be slaughtered there." Canyon sighed. "But I could be wrong," he added hopefully.

Ooc:// Well, I was thinking of Canyon being the same age as Aleu, so this would have happened less than a ywar ago since there both only around two now. But Sonya would have been older when this happens since she's Balto's age. Is that still too long ago?

Ooc:// Maybe he wanted her to mature? Well, I guess that wouldn't make sense. How about she can't have pups? But Mako hasn't given up yet, but he's about to. That'll make the rescue mission much more urgent cause he'll kill when he figures it out, right?

"Given what I know, humans rarely capture wolves alive." said Balto. "The only reasons I can think of is some welthy rich guy wanted a wolf for a pet or...a dog fighting ring." he said. "But they don't normally put females into a fight...so if that's the case...maybe...oh no..." he said, eyes widening. "Kodi, please take Ana and Maria out of the cave." he said seriously, what he had to say wasn't something young females should hear.
