Dusty squirmed out from under him.
Balto noticed a large tree over them that was leaning and motioned the others to it.
Lenatai nodded. She put her paw on Kai's head and sent healing energy into him.

Bashkei nodded, going over silently and inspecting were the tree leaned. Sensing h and Balto had the same idea, Bashkei motioned everyone to get away from Mammoth.
Half crazy with pain and the stench of skunk in his nose, Mammoth's head turned this way and that, almost breaking his own neck.
Kai's wound began to heal slowly, and finally, when it was healed enough, his eyes opened softly. Glancing up, he looked shocked, eyes wide. "Grand-grandma..." he searched for the name. "Lenatei...?"

Balto slammed his weight full on it as the others got to safety, causing it to topple over and land on Mammoth's back.
Lenatei nodded, continuing the healing. "Yes little one, its me." she said. "I'm an angel now."
Titan snuck up behind Katie slowly.

The monstrous dog let out an inhumane screech, like that of an eagle. Although large, an even larger tree easily snapped a few places in his spine. His eyes rolled back, and his gargantuan body slumped to the ground
OOC: He's not dead. I'm not sure if that was part of the plan or not.
Kai blinked slightly, closing his eyes as he let the healing light fix his head wound. "Where's Mama...?" he asked softly.
Katie paid no mind to anything about her, keeping a steady pace. She continued to call, now within an ear's reach of her family.

Balto panted heavily. "Looks like we beat him."
"She's free." said Lenatei. She looked to Bashkei, becoming visiable to him. "Bashkei."
Titan heard his brother's cry but was more afraid of his master than concerned for his brother and jumpped on Katie, smacking her in the back of the head.

Bashkei nodded, rubbing the blood form his muzzle. The voice he heard, that soft, sweet voice...Bashkei turned, and shock turned to surprise. Before him stood his deceased mate, wings adorning her back...Bashkei stepped toward her. "Lenatei...?" he whispered, eyes wide.
Kai looked at Lena, eyes helf closed. "Lena? Are...you okay?"
Katie screamed as she was pounced on, now within distance of her family by scent alone. She became dazed and confused as she was smacked in the back of the head, unable to think or see straight.

Lenatei smiled and nodded. She then looked to Cachen, who had his eyes closed trying not to look at his wounded paw. She healed his paw as well, then looked to Bashkei. "I'm our daughter's guardian angel."
Lena nodded. "Just...grandma is really pretty."
Titan snarled, then began choking her.

Bashkei let out a light chuckle, nodding sagely. "I always said so..." his voice was still soft, still barely above that awed whisper. "I didn't think I'd see you again this soon." he joked, rubbing Cachen's head with a giant paw.
Kai nodded, looking at Lena. "You do kinda look like her."
Katie gasped for air as it was denied to her needing lungs. As Titan choked her, she struggled to stay out of the vicinity of passing out, but she was weak, and she'd eventually pass out. Praying that this last effort would work, Katie gathered as much air in her lungs as possible...There was only one who she longed to see, to hear coming..."Cachen!!!" she yelled, her voice cracking, she was able to go halfway through his name a second time, only to lose strength, and eventually pass out. She had yelled loud enough though, enough to scare the birds out of their nests in the pines.

Cachen smiled, then heard his mother call his name, scaried, in need of help. He ran off towards where she was.
Lenatei heard it also. "Bashkei, our baby is in trouble."

Tai, having put up a mental shiled in time to her Katie's screams, rushed toward the sound, Kodi in tow.
Goldie blinked, following soon after Cachen, wanting to protect him.
Bashkei's fur rose, and his lips drew back into a dangerous snarl. His protectiveness over her daughter began to make his powerful heart beat faster. The anger flooded hot and fast through his veins, and he took off in pursuit of the pups that had gone. Words were not needed, his powerful body turned savage, aiming to kill whoever put his young in danger.
Kai followed Bashkei, not wanting to be left in the dust. His head still felt terrible, but it was something he considered minor.

Lenatei flew above them. "I cannot harm a living creature, that's something Angels are forbidden from doing, I can annoy them, just not truely harm them."
"Grandpa...I hope Momma is alright." said Cachen, confused and concerned.
Balto, Tiga, Fang, and Dusty ran along with them.

Bashkei nodded, looking up at his mate. "Please do then, Lenatei!" he called quietly, his thoughts running rampant until Cachen put a stop to them. "Hm? No, we're gonna make it in time. She's not too far." he assured. "And hey, she called your name, out of everyone else..."
Tai dropped back with Fang, looking at him worriedly. "I hope someone hasn't done anything to her..." she said, the pain in her head still evident on her haggard face.

Bashkei saw this and was deeply moved. He spoke soothingly. "Everything's gonna be alright, it's what? nine against one?" he said, smiling confidently. "We're gonna get her back."
Goldie nodded, licking Cachen's face.
OOC: He was following behind Tai after she took off.
Tai whimpered, eyes wide and frightened. She couldn't wrap her head about the concept of their Mothering hurting, in pain.

When they arrived, Titan was standing over Katie, but it was unsure if he had forcebred her or not yet.
