Lena came out and dropped the rabbit. "Tai is still hunting." she said.
"Thank you so much dear, theses babies have been so hungry." said Kira.
"I guess snuggle up to him." said Balto.

Kai looked at her seriously. "...What?!"
Jenna nodded, laying down sloyl, her torao gently draping over Mr. simpson's form.
Tai gasped softly, three big hares falling from her back as she fell. "Oh, God!" she cried, stumbling slightly. She was battered. "No one...told me....hares could kick so HARD!"

Balto did the same. "He'll be ok."
"I'll go find her." said Lena and ran off after Tai.

Tai sighed, picking up the dead hare and stumbling back to the sled. She was following her pawprints, eyes set upon the ground. With a gasp, she let go of the hare, howling out in the light, but deep way she had.
Jenna nodded, laying her head down on his back. "I just realized how dangerous it is for all of us.

Lena ran up next to Tai. "Alright, we're all here." she said.
"Uh Kira, no offense but we're in a hurry and need the musher and it isn't exactly a good idea for him to see a tiger when he wakes up." said Balto.
Kira chuckled. "I guess you're right, well I hope to see you all soon." she said with a smile. "And tell Katie I said hi." she said and climbed into the den with the cubs and their meal. "Thank you all for being so kind." she said and pulled the bush back in front of the den to hide her from sight.

Tai nodded, dropping the hare by the den, smiling. "We'll make sure." she said, getting back into her harness easily, wincing for a moment as her bruises.
Jenna nodded, smiling as she begin to gently lick Mr. simpson's cheek and temple, thinking the warmth would wake him up.
Mr. Simpson groaned, eyes opening slowly as he looked about, putting a hand to his forehead.

Balto pointed to a rock on the ground, trying to cover for Kira by making Samson think he'd fallen and hit his head on a rock.
"Hey Tai, guess what?" asked Cachen, slipping back into his harness, Lena doing the same. "Kira knew momma." he said. "And her parents, they were good friend, won't momma be happy to learn that when she wakes up?"

Mr. simpson nodded slowly, gently putting both dogs on the ground and getting up, still rubbing his head. No doubt he was confused.
Tai smiled lightly. "Really? Wow." she said, grinning "I missed everytihng huh?" she tried to mockingly sound upset.

Balto slipped back into his harness and looked urgently to Samson telling him there wasn't time to waste.
"Yeah." said Cachen. "And we found out grandpa Bushkei called momma his little North Star like she calls me."

Mr. Simpson nodded, quickly letting the dogs slide themselves into the harnesses. He checked for any damage to the sled and noted Tai's bruises.
Tai smiled softly, looking a bit amazed at the words. "Really? That's really great, maybe one of us will call our kids 'North Star'." she giggled, watching as Kai slid into the harness.

"Yeah maybe." said Cachen. He looked at Mr. Samson, hoping he'd think the bruises were from the run so far. He whined and nudged Mr. Samson, wondering if he was ok.

Mr. Simpson jumped lightly, looking down to Cachen, petting his head softly. Checking to make sure all the dogs were hitched onto the sled before calling out the command to go.

Balto lead the team down another path so they could by pass the blocked one.
"Papa, Kira was scary but she was really nice." said Lena. "I guess you can't judge a book by its cover."

Kodi nodded, smiling lightly. "Right, I would think that was one of the first lessons you'd learn, Lena."
Jenna looked about, following the tugging of the line quickly. "Balto, how much farther do you think to the halfway point?"

"I know." said Lena. "But no one around our area isn't what they look like."
"Soon." said Balto. "That cost us some time but oh well."
