"I do not understand you Alfred F. Jones." Arthur said with a sigh, pushing Alfred away from him with a smile and hopping off the counter.
"How long do you think it'll take fo Kat to get a job?"
"Two days."
"Really? I'd have excpected longer." Arthur laughed, an Alfred flashed him a bright smile.

They swapped numbers and made plans for later that day. Around 8:00 Brett was due to come over and watch a movie or two, considering was out on winter break and didn't need to study. Kat arrived back at the house with a grin on her face.

"Hey what're you so happy about?" Alfred asked, looking at Kat with curiosity. Arthur was in the shower, so Alfred was shoving his face with multiple McDonald's hamburgers.

"I met a guy." She said with a wry grin, "He's coming over tonight." Kat chimed, walking over to Alfred and jumping a little.

"I'm so happy for you Kit-Kat!" Alfred chimed, hugging her tightly, almost protectively. Arthur padded down into the kitchen and rolled his eyes.
"Im in the roooom!" He called out teasingly, making a fresh cup of tea. He looked over to kat and raised his eyebrows at her excited expression.
"Whats going on with you?" He asked.

"Oh nothing, just this extremely sexy guy is coming over to night. And you haven't even heard the best part!" Kat said, edging the story on, causing suspense and wonder.

"Wait you didn't tell me about the best part?!" Alfred whined, and Arthur rolled his eyes.
"Im fine with it, just, stay out of my room." Arthur warned with a little laugh.

Kat laughed at Arthur's joke and then continued to the 'best part'.
"He's studying...To become...A doctor!! Can you believe that?! He's like really smart and ripped and funny and Gah! ?He's perfect! I've never been with someone who was like...That successful!" Kat beamed, twirling around excitedly.

That hurt, Alfred frowned slightly. Apparently he was better than him? Well gee, he didn't need Kat anyways...
"That's great Kat." Arthur said, looking to Alfred, who had smiled brightly again.
"Yeah totally!"

"I'm gonna' go take a shower and get all pretty, he should be here in a few hours." Kat said, she hadn't realized that what she said had hurt Alfred. She truly thought that he was happy for her. Kat danced upstairs and started the shower. She was in an out in the matter of minuets and buzzed around her room, looking for something cute to where.

Arthur and Alfred sat downstairs on the couch, Alfred was saying something about how Arthur should wear his reading glasses all the time, and Arthur wasn't too sure about that.

Kat never really paid much attention to her outfits, so she callled Alfred in for help.
"ALLFFRREED!! I NEED YOU FOR A MOMENT!" She yelled from her room.

Alfred sighed, and stood.
"Be right back Artie!" He said jogging upstairs. "Yeah?" He asked, looking at Kat.

Arthur sat downstairs, and then heard a knock on the door. He stood, and went to open it.

"I dunno what to wear.." Kat said pathetically.

Brett looked at the address he was given when Arthur opened the door. He couldn't believe his eyes, first he was shocked, then his usually soft eyes became hard.
"Arthur?! " He accused, looking past Arthur to see if he could find Kat anywhere.

Alfred laughed, and grabbed the prettiest outfit he saw. "This."

Arthur glared harshly, and scratched his chest.
"What the he** are you doing here?" He demanded, more surprised than angry to see his ex standing at the door.
