Temple glared at David. "Trust me." she whispered. She backed up.

David looked at Temple and said "I do trust you. I'm just desperately worried about you right now because I don't want to lose you."

Temple rolled her eyes. "Don't worry, you won't. Because their playing with fire." she growled. She lunged at one man while he wasn't expecting it, and knocked the gun out of his hands.

That human grabbed his knife out of it's holder, slashed Temple's leg, and kicked her off of him. The other humans fired a round at Temple but out of no where Ruger ran in front of Temple and got hit with all of the bullets. He was near to death now.

David lunged at the human who kicked Temple and killed it. He looked at the other four and attacked one of them but got shot in the leg. The human kicked David violently.

Turbo and Temple attacked one man together.

Calico followed Ruger ad layed beside him.

David killed the human who he was fighting and went after another. The other human who Turbo and Temple was fighting died.

Ruger gasped for breath and looked at Calico lovingly. He said very weakly "I've always loved you Calico. I wish I could stay longer but I have to go." He coughed up some blood.

"No. Ruger." Calico whispered, deep sorrow in her eyes. "Don't leave me."

Temple lunged on the one David was fighting, Turbo on the other one.

The last two humans died and David rushed over to Ruger and said very sorrily while his head was bowed "I'm sorry."

Ruger smiled warmly at David and said "It's okay. I forgive you. Please take care of Temple. She needs love and care more than she knows."

David nodded his head and said "I will do that sir."

Ruger asked "What element are you anyways?"

David looked down and said "Water."

Ruger nodded his head weakly and said even more weakly "Water will cool down fire and that's what she needs. Just to be cooled down. But she deserves more love than her mom and I gave her and here you are. You will love her with every breath you take won't you?"

David nodded his head and said "I will love her even after death. I need her to feel anything."

Ruger looked at Temple and said "I'm sorry that you had a father like me. You deserved a lot better of a father than the father I was."

Temple leaned over Ruger. "Its alright." she whispered.

Calico was whimpering loudly.

Turbo just starred at Ruger in shock.

Ruger looked at Turbo and said "Look after all of them for me." He looked at Calico one more time and said one last time "I love you." He licked her muzzle and touched her nose with his own. He laid his head down on the ground softly and took one last breath and died.

Calico let out a yowl of grief.

David did too. He wished Ruger didn't have to die for them in order to escape.

Calico whimpered, and cried softly.

David looked at Temple and tilted his head and asked "Why aren't you mourning for your dad?"

Temples eyes were wide with shock, and seemed to be listening to something nobody else could hear.
