"Sadie? Rio?" Relief was evident in the alpha's voice. She hadn't been told where the family had gone, and though she didn't show it, she had been worried about them.

Ayame looked puzzled.
"I just...couldn't," Sadie explained lamely, hating the way it sounded. "Murderer or not, I don't want her blood on my paws."
Ayame nodded, but she still didn't quite understand. She let the matter go, though. "Where are the pups?" she asked.
"Laika, Michelle, and Kyle are outside. Juno was the one....was the one she murdered." Sadie took a deep breath, trying not to cry again. There had been enough tears lately.

"No," Ayame said, shaking her head slightly. She looked at Ai. "Do you have anything to say in your defense?"
"No," Ai rasped softly. She coughed, grimacing. "Hurry up and kill me, will you?" she said. "Rio already started the job. Finish it." She didn't like the suspense of waiting to be killed.
"We still have to have a trial..." Ayame sighed.
"Don't bother. This is one situation I can't get out of. Ignore the "fair trial" and "innocent until proven guilty" mess. I'm obviously guilty. Get it over with," Ai coughed.
Ayame was taken by surprise, but didn't show it. Her eyes narrowed as she gazed at Ai, then lunged. Ai soon lay limp on the floor.
Sadie couldn't help but suck in her breathe quickly, white eyes widening. Even though her foe was dead, she couldn't relax. Ai's "partners" were still out there after all. Without a leader, they may not make a move against Sadie and her family. But Sadie knew that it was unlikely.
This wasn't the end.

Ooc:// Could....that be the last post? I sorta liked how it sounded as an ending.
