Maybe the police Charlie sniffed the air and smelled somebody too, he knew the sent but couldn't tell ya who it was.

Uh oh... Zero thought, wondering if he would be in trouble with Charlie and Ace for listening in.

Please go over to Zero please Charlie hoped and prayed for a miracle that he would be left alone.

Zero gulped a bit nervously and came into the open. "I was curious so... Here I am..."

Nika nudged him up into the windowsill "See all of those stars and all of those clouds Lucky?" She asked, her paw pointing towards the sky."Your mother, my mother, and all of our loved ones that have left us live up there, watching down on us." She explained, she felt like Mufasa from Lionking, a movie she had seen before at a human's home. The red and gray female rsted her head on his lightly.

Zero shuffled his paw awkwardly on the ground.

Nika smiled warmly "Now c'mon, its way past your bedtime little mister." She picked him up and carried him up towards the bed and settled him under the covers. She curled her body around him, like how she remembered seeing many mother dogs do to their pups before to keep them safe, and warm."Go to sleep now Lucky, have sweet dreams." She licked the top of the pup's head and let her heavy eyelids droop closed, still half awake.

"Nah. I was just following Charlie because I was curious about where he was going." Zero replied, looking from Ace to Charlie.
