Russet grinned. "I had the same empty hole, the same thoughts. Except I didn't really love life. It was hell before I met you."

OOC: I have about five minutes.

"That's because we have a special connection. When I was gone, did you have strange dreams that seemed strangely real?" he asked.

OOC: Bye.

"How often?" Russet shifted into a more comfortable pose and stared at her.

"Were you by any chance crying?" he asked. He knew she probably was, but he wanted to be sure.

"So we're on the same page. Good." Russet nodded to himself. "I'll be right back, Delilah. I... need to talk to Julius. In case anything happens, he should know why."

Russet took a deep breath and looked around for Julius. When he found him, he sat back on his haunches next to the white husky and spoke firmly. "Julius, I need to talk to you."

"You know how you can get a bit snappy? Well, I can too, because I have this darker side of me that gets out of control sometimes. I don't know what sets it off, but it may happen around Delilah. And I want you to know that if anything ever happens, please don't blame the normal me for this."
