Hailey and Zion run side by side, almost perfectly in sync. The moon shines down on them, lighting the way with a soft glow.


"wonder what mamma and papa are doing?" Ivy says slowly.

Tasha was about to respond but a distracting rushle in the bushses stopped her. after a moment of odd sounds. they mother and father, zion and hailey rushed into the clearing

Tasha calledout "They back!"

"Hello dears," Hailey calls.

The pups crowd around them both, yipping and wagging their tails.
Ivy turns to face her father.
"Hi dad." she says quietly. She suddenly looks around, "james and lorra are still gone.."

before zion could enjoy tash's rubbing of her head to his leg his head turned to Ivy "What?!! where they go?!"

Hailey's ears perk up. She also turns to Ivy. "WHERE ARE THEY?!" she yelps. "honey, tell us quick!"

Ivy lowers her head, "they said that..well..they just left...I don't know where they were going..I thought that maybe they were going to go find you guys..."

Zion growled "How dare th-" He was interupted by russling behind them, james and lorra came through and both gasped

James tryed to sound as innoent he could "Oh , hey mother, father we were just.."

Zion talked over him "Leaving the safety of our den and go into the dangerous forest for no reason?"

"James! Lorra!" Hailey rushes over and nuzzles them both. "Why did you leave? we were so worried about you!"

"w-we just wanted to see where you were," Lorra whimpered and snuggled against her mother.

Zion growled "You could of got into alto of trouble if you came across something! Wheres strae why didnt you let her know about this?"

Hailey sighs and lowers her ears a little, "Zion," she pleads, "don't growl at them, they're still pups. They don't know any better." She turns back to Lorra, "and?"

"she wouldn't let us go find you.." Lorra mumbled, "please don't be mad at us, we won't do it again..."

Strae appears quickly, "hey guys! you have a good time?"

Zion sighed "Strae did you know that lorra and james went out of the den and left to find us, ALONE" he gave a small glare towards strae

Lorra's ears flatten. she didn't like it when her father was angry and snuggles closer to Hailey's leg.

"Well they mentioned it, but I told them they couldn't and maybe they could visit it sometime else. I thought they were in the cave."

"Well you was lucky they here and safe" He glared and looked down "Get inside now you two, and tell your siblings to get to bed. If i by any chance catch you sneaking off again.." He stopped and turned away

James ears flatten like they sink into his fur and rushed to the den

"erm..yes..well..I had better leave now." Strae forces an embarrassed chuckle through her gritted teeth." she disappears into the bushes.

Hailey bites her lip and nods to lorra. "Go now." she urges and nudges her toward the cave with her paw.

Soon Zion and Hailey are alone again.

"Pups.." Hailey sighed.

"i knew there be toruble buti never expect them to go off and get into that much trouble to be alone out in that forest where anyone could be!" He growled "Strae just left like i didnt matter i dont like her no more she dont seem to care she lost them" He paced back and forward "Argh lets go trothe den i need a lie down, was such agood day then it ended with thoughts of maybe they would leave again"

Hailey nuzzles Zion, "its all part of raising pups, right?" she chuckles, "but something tells me that they won't try it again."
She smiles and shakes her head, and walks to the entrance of the cave but she doesn't go in.
