i agree with ya there Dark_Wolf but we dont need another fight to happen so try not to antagonize SilverWolf

personally i dont know why people come up with these why do you hate something topics and then they get mad when someone says they dont like what the other person likes, everyone is intitled to their own opinion and everyone isnt going to agree on the same thing.

Well actually, I pretty much hate WQ. The only thing I like about it are:

The characters

and

The music (except the songs "Taking You Home" and "Grand Design")

and

The story was exciting.

The things I don't like are:

1. The stupid magic and spirit guide totem pole crap (Seriously, what does "I know what I am, but not who I am" mean!?).

2. I didn't like most of the songs.

3. The characters weren't like they were in the first movie.

4. The animation was poody. The anatomy was incorrect, too many bloopers, and it had a different style than the original (compare screenshots to see what I mean).

yeah i pretty much hate WQ to. until recently it was my favorite out of the three and then i watched it last night and thought to myself what the hell was i thinking. I still like aleu though

I donno, maybe it's the way she was drawn, her voice her personality. LMAO I just can't stand her!!!! I could go on forever. XD

You saw people can have their own opinoins? Well my opinion was that WQ was the best. I'm not looking for a fight. I'm just declaring that I hate people. Semi-hate. Or something. I just don't see why people should hate something for no reason.

Catwhohas14tails, you are right. I'm not going to start a fight. It's just most people on Balto Source are ignorrant and I treat them like idiots. One time I wrote an article. Everyone said I'm confusing Balto 1 and the real one. I said i'm not. I was explaining how the movies are very very very POORLY based on the true story. They still kept posting rude comments, so I got mad, and later some random person said I almost got banned for posting on my own article, just for saying "GOD DANGIT"...The "PM" thing I said earlier, I meant PM me and explain why, because all the "animation" "music" stuff is really bullcrap. Bloopers, so what? WHo cares? I certainly don't.

1. Animation was just fine for me. Bloopers huh? Try sitting by the computer all day and animating WQ, only to be disrespected when it comes out.

2. Music was just fine. Again, why disrespect people that worked hard? I could even say it was my favourite music out of all three movies.

3. Personalities have not changed. Everyone says Jenna's personality has changed. I seriously have no idea what you are talking about. Besides, even if it has changed, it was by very little. The movie is like five years apart from it's predecessor.

4. The only thing I found disturbing and full of hot bullcrap was the spiritual stuff. They were trying to say it was a "mystical" quest. They also snuck in a song with this crap.

5. The story was not original. When you really think about it, was Balto 1? Or Balto 3? In Balto one the movie almost never corresponds with the real story, do you think it's still original?

6. Aleu, Nava, Niju, and others gave more characters to use in Fanart and Fanfiction. I just wrote a whole fanfiction about Aleu.

7. It's a story that keeps you waiting for more. You can't pause the movie for a second. It's filled with excitement, happiness, and sorrow.

It, of course, is your opinion anyhow. Just look and see if i'm right. Disagree with me why don't ya? I'll probably get banned for saying "God Dangit" again, because of my "rude" nature. I will not explain this again. I say sorry 5000 times, explain everything, and they still disrespect me; for the last time, sorry. I've come across alot of people like this in my life, don't make me come across more.

i have to disagree with you Cat. I liked Nuk, Yak and Sumac. not as much as Star, Nikki and kALTAG though, but i still thought they were quite funny. i thought Balto's line was also a bit cheesy, but im not really bothered about it, most movies have a cheesy line like that. Alue only fixxed grammer twice, i don't really care about that. and i like the scotty dog, i don't think he is annoying. i think he is cute. and some of the jokes i found funny. i know that what you said is your own opinion, and this is mine. I just wouldn't say that 'they tried to be funny, but it didn't work at all' cause i did have some laughs, so that means that it did make someonw laugh, and it will have made some others laugh as well. So i wouldn't say that. everyone is different

I'm not saying that you all don't have a right to an opinion, cuz obviously you all think the same way I do on opinions. But movies like these (WQ) are supposed to be enjoyable for the whole family.

Now, I LIKE little kid movies, ok? Keeping that in mind, I am also very open to movie plots and how characters think and whatnot in these types of movies, but I could not be open with this movie, because in reality, it was pretty bad. I would not even force this movie on my kids, it bored me that much.

Now, just for the sake of argument, I NEED to say MY opinion on this matter some more, just so I can straighten things out and open some eyes (if I can)



I am animating something myself, and I can tell you that it IS hard. But look at it this way, I am an ammature, while these animators are considered "professional." And considering expenses and equipment, *I* think I'm better at it. Mostly because I really care about how the characters in Balto 1 looked like. And I know that doesn't much matter to kids, but I have encountered kids who did not like the change of style either (along with the change of voices) So yes, in MY PERSONAL OPINION, the animation had no right to be that bad. The LEAST they could have done was get animal proportions correct.



Now you mentioned Balto 1 not relating to the real thing at all. (if you look in the True Story section of the forums you can see what was different and what was the same) Now if I'M a tough critic, why are you picking on Balto 1 for not being real when it's a cartoon? Obviously movie people have to change SOME of the true story in order to make it interesting. If they made a movie about the "real Balto" and what "really" happened, then NO ONE would watch that movie just because of how boring it was.

And in MY PERSONAL opinion, WQ messed up the true story, and they basically made any true part of Balto 1 fiction to add onto what was already fiction. Balto 1 didn't even deserve a sequel just because of the fact that it was BASED (See? BASED. Not 100%. They STARTED from the real story.) on a true story (this reason is also why the plot and story for Balto 1 was very original, its not every day a dog saves an entire town) AND that the two movies were x amount of years apart, and no one could tell the difference.

So in conclusion, MY PERSONAL OPINION still remains, and no amount of disagreement is going to change it.

Now WHY did I type an entire paragraph? To try and open some eyes to other options of thought.

And just for the record, I didn't like Balto 3 either.

And also for the record, I'm a tought critic. So, please don't take offense if I "disect your favorite movie."

And just to stay on topic another reason why I don't like Aleu is because she was mean to Boris. AND BORIS IS COOL

LOL - overall, that was an awesome post, Cat! Well said! But the part I quoted above? I've always argued that point with people who felt the real story was boring. If you read the accounts of the individual mushers (if they are to be believed), and you take into account the real Balto's post-serum run history, you can find something very interesting, and which would have made a good cartoon story in of itself! The trip to the U.S.? The movie making? The statue? The heartbreak of being sold to the dimestore owner, and how they were neglected? The Cleveland, OH businessman (George Kimball...I think that is the spelling of his last name) who found Balto and the team by chance, passing by the store. Their subsequent purchase and rescue after Kimball spread the word and money was raised? And then the trip to Cleveland, where the team was given a rousing parade, and then comfortable quarters to live in the remainder of their days? That's the kind of story that would have worked well in a children's cartoon, don't you think? (And, after all, the target audience of the Balto cartoons were always children.)

I agree with Liking Aleu because to me she is the best, but the way you said everyone who hates WQ are idoits well that was not called for and the way it was said well it can tick people off, but your right on having your own opinion, but don't diss other peoples opinions or call then names just because they don't agree with you.

If everyone agreed on everything the same then I would be bored to death, coz having a diffrent way of thinking or an opinion is just one of many things that make this world not boreing.

I foudn Alue slightly boring, probably because Wolf Quest was boring (yes I said Boring not Okay but Boring). Kodi is a much more intretsing character and Alue was not very orginial.
