What a question that is!
Well, in my opinion, husky. To read more, I made an article here including why I thought he was husky:

1. Many people say that Malamutes
can have the same markings as Steele, though I have never seen one with, the husky markings and look of the face is exactly the same as Steele.
2. The body build is as well similar to husky. Malamutes I find are too bulky and fluffy for Steele, and the build of Steele is just right for a strong, powerful husky.
3. The personality, lot's of people don't seem to notice I find, but the personality of the husky and Steele, are them same. They are bouncy and snappy, alike to Steele and his character (Bouncy? Look at Steele when you see him with his musher)
So, there are my reasons for Steele being husky. If you have any objections I will be glad to tell you even more reasons to why I think he is husky
