This doesn't just follow what Balto did, but also Digimon as well. I mean, yeah; English Digimon sucks. The Japanese versions are actually intended for 14+, not 7...

Some people just are ignorant. Those people I completely ignore.

Yeah, I get a hard time for liking Digimon and various other Anime. The English Version of Digimon sucks, but yeah, the Japanese version is good because it isnt meant for little kids.

This guy, was looking through my bag (Long story) and found my drawing pad, then he saw all of the anime and wolf drawings. That was a year ago, and they still havent stopped going on about it. People in my class are obbsessed with asking me why I draw wolves all the time. Its really irritating.

If their by themselves, people will say my drawings are great, but if their with their friends they think they have to impress them and tell me how rubbish I am and that I'm stupid for liking Balto and Anime.

Most of my friends are skater-types and while I am too, I have a another side to me as well. My Balto side  . It would be sort of awkward to talk to them about it, but they would defenitely understand. We all have our unique interests.

You're lucky to have friends that would understand. Everyone I know'd never forgive me for it. XD

Well, came accross a drawback to allowing my friends to know about me and Balto... one of my friends was just giving another friend of mine a CD with 3GBs of, as he said, "Hacks, cracks, and codes" for computer hacking and such. One of my friends, who can be a friend sometimes, and an enemy at other times, once got his school computer account taken away for hacking. I am afraid that someone will hack this site just to joke with me. This really scares me. They might either do that or create an account here and cause trouble on purpose. I mean, sure they can be nice people, but when they intentionally try to get on my nerves, they are complete...complete... you know what I mean.

Wolf-Blade, is that you? Its me! CrunchBandicoot from DeviantART! :D

Anyway, yeah, my 13 year old sister (I'm 16) laughs at me for liking the Balto series. Same with watching/reading Ginga Nagareboshi Gin and Ginga Densetsu Weed :x

I keep my love for the Balto film at a minimum, only my Brother, parents (that actually love Balto now), and my Friend Jason, but how Jason found out was kinda embarrassing; i was on this Balto site on his laptop and he saw me on it, and since he's 20 and all B.A. and i'm a 15 year old on a 'Kids Website' for a 'Kids Movie' it was kind of weird, ironic, and embarrassing all at the same time...

Old topic but since it's be re-brought up...

There is NO reason why anyone should hide their fandom, of anything. I'm a fan of "Balto" Though sadly not as much now, as I use to be of course.
I'm 27, I have a Husband and 2 Children, and NO ONE has ever made fun of me for liking cartoons, Heck my mom still watches them and she's in her 50's.

Even my Husband (who is the same age as I am) watches cartoons more than I do. (SpongeBob, Naruto ETC)

I will admit that I use to hide or rather be a tad ashamed of my "Naruto" Fandom, but I've come to realise its not nothing to be ashamed of. So I voice it openly now, and that includes my like for Balto.

Nothing I like am I ever bothered about, cus Its clearly my choice to like it, no one elses.

Don't be ashamed, just because it is a "Cartoon" I know plenty of older teens and adults who enjoy them just as much, if not MORE than alot of kids I know.

There have been some times at school where people have asked me "What's your favorite movie?' and I when tell them Balto most of them tell me they liked the movie as a kid as well. But I'm one of those guys that likes to keep several things to himself, so aside from a few friends I've told (which have probably forgotten about it by the next day, lol!) I'm really the only one that knows about my Balto fanship. It's not that I'm afraid to tell other people, I just don't really see the reason in telling other people unless they bring up a subject that relates to it. And since I'm not one of those fans that just keeps talking about Balto and won't shut up about it, I don't really think I'll be made fun of it.

I'm 15 and I have never told anyone about my love for Balto. Although I have a feeling my parents know but i've never talked to them about it and they've never talked to me. I guess I have a fear of embarrassment and been picked on etc. And also around here people at school n stuff love to take the **** out of anyone for any reason. I'm already been given a hard time because I'm a die hard NASCAR fan and i'm just thinking it'll just make my situation worse. (Yes I am a NASCAR fan and I do live in the UK)

This is my first time talking about this to anyone and any help or advice is greatly appreciated. :)

I think, Josh, if you are able to demonstrate some interest in the historical Balto, and the real Nome serum run story, you might find a modicum of respect. If it's not just about the cartoon, that is. Of course, as you well know, high school students can be cruel to each other. And making fun of others (sometimes viciously) is like a game for your peers. Sad and pathetic as that is.

If you would like to discuss the real story, I'd be glad to do that with you sometime...

I know a bit about the real story but I'd always like to know more. So yeah, I'd be more than happy to discuss the real story with you. :)

And my fear of embarrassment and been picked on etc isn't so bad anymore. Because I was in really deep thought about it this morning and suddenly i've now got a different view on life.
