They should make the films a bit more dramatic than Balto just been pushed over and thrown into a tree like the first movie.

Mmm...When is he thrown into a tree? And I believe he has already been in enough dramatic scenes in the first film...(drown in ice water, dropped of a cliff, buried under the snow, ...)

Hmm...I don't remember him being thrown into a tree either. I could be wrong, though.
Yes, I think Balto should get hurt.
How? Hmm... I think a list is in order.
1) First and foremost: A fight with Steele!! (Steele returns from his banishment with evil intentions for him and Jenna...and maybe their pups!?)
2) (Like Rotramel said) He pushes himself too far and....*insert peril here*
Wow, short list.
Rotramel brings up another interesting point: How would Balto die?
My Ideas...
1) Dramatic Death (Is mortally wounded in a fight (protecting Jenna) and sucummes to his wounds. The last thing he says is "I love you" to Jenna. Then...he passes away.)
2) Pushes himself too far (Goes out to find Kodi's mail team, which is two days late. The team returns, but Balto never does.) Whoa! I got goose bumps just thinking about that!
3) Dies of old age (One day, as he is remenising on Jenna's front porch, he simply passes away. With nothing left to live for, the aged Jenna gives up and dies beside him.)
Yeesh, I sure know how to pick 'em...
Drematic death by wounds, mysteriously vanishing in a blizzard, and drifting away peacefully on Jenna's porch.
Maybe I'll try writing a random fanfic on this subject...
