Yes, this is the point. The thing most people here don't understand : the only way we could do something is to give a proof that they would make profit if they made a new sequel or merchandise or anything else we already talked about. Although, I'm not sure it's possible unfortunately.

It's 100% true they will only listen that way, no matter which way you shape the project. Truely, only if you prove it profitable.

Seems like other companies CAN understand the fans...Why won't Universal do the same thing?
The last unicorn is one of the rare animated films that is not more famous than Balto...(at least I don't think it is) So this kind of news make me both wishful and angry.

Then again Lion Gate Films isn't as big of company as Universal they need all the money they can get, Universal can turn things down as they please because they always have another project to turn to.

Well just for the record : Glenn Ross was the head of Lions Gate Home Video, just before moving to Universal one year ago...

On the contrary, he IS in charge of the Balto franchise...It's just that he and the others have decided not to make a new film; that's all.

Yes, it is a shame. But who knows? Maybe some day when they (if they) decide to make a new film, they will look back on that petition

Well, they probably have your site's URL. And though it seems as if they didn't keep it, I beleive it is required to save a copy of the letters (and other things such as petitions) they receive, just in case they need to reply or get back to you sometime later

Next time keep the original animators, voice, and directors IF you want to make a sequel and the succes will be very high, guaranteed. But if the sequel will be like the 2 or 3, I will defenetely not buy any Balto 4. I still wish I wouldn't have seen Balto 2 and 3
