Erebus jumped back out of the Poison Gas before it could inflict poison and tried using Sand Attack on Tuck.
Eevee looked over at Tuck and growled while saying "What is your deal. I was to do this by myself." She turned her attention back to Rex and used the same combo again and then used a Quick Attack and Dig combo on Erebus.
Erebus didn't see this coming and was knocked out by the Eevee's combo with a yelp.

Rex hit the ground and lost consciousness.
Tuck covered his eyes to avoid the sand. "Eh, I just wanted a little action, barely got any in that gym battle. He looked over the two unconscious Pokemon. "Well, that didn't last long at all, did it?" he asked, cocking his head. "Let's head to the Pokemon Center and get something to eat, that work for you?"

Erebus was sucked back into his Pokeball and was teleported to the Pokemon Center along with his bag.
Shockafox smiled mischievously and said "Sure. I've been taking up too much action for the day and I'll follow your lead for a while."

Shockafox followed Tuck to get something to eat.
Erebus was healed and when he woke up he was in a room and out of his Pokeball. He looked around trying to find Rex and couldn't find him anywhere. His eyes finally fell over Rex's Pokeball and released him from it. He sighed and said sadly "That was humiliating. I understand if you don't want to be part of my team anymore because of how bad I am. You deserve some other Pokemon who is better than I to be part of your team, Rex. I am sorry that you were stuck with me."

Rex whimpered. "Hey, don't be so hard on yourself, those two were just more experienced than us is all.." he said, trying to think of anything to cheer him up. "If they beat the gym leader easily, then they've got to be really tough, right?"

Erebus looked at Rex a little teary and said "Yea. They are strong but I didn't expect to be knocked out with one hit. I feel like a total disgrace. How can I be anything if I get taken out like that? With a one hit KO."

Rex looked to him. "They may have been jerks, but they had one good thing to say; if they'd gotten beat easily, they said they'd just train until they're strong enough to beat the one that beat them," he repeated. "That isn't wrong just because they're jerks, we can get stronger too, can't we?"
