Rikkes stood in the open doorway for several minutes before walking in. He glanced at the cabinet, nodding before walking to it and opening it, taking out all her supplies and taking what he needed before putting the others back. He walked over to her, "This'll sting a bit." he said before pouring on disinfectant on her cut so it wouldn't get infected. He worked in silence, his hands steady in the practice.

Racheal nodded, wincing slightly as it felt as though her arm was being set on fire. "Me and pain go way back." She said through gritted teeth, trying her best not to let the pain beat her. She looked over at Rikkes and kept her arm steady, pulling her long sleeve back to reveal the gash on her forearm. "So Rikkes. You've got some pretty good fight skills on you." She complimented, Zeus off in the corner sleeping soundly. "With a little more work and a weapon you can actually be dangerous." She joked, having a very light sense of humor. She smiled slightly, looking over at the door and then back at her arm. She wasn't expecting anyone else to show up.

Rikkes chuckled softly, more for her benefit than his own. He started to wrap her arm, to keep away dirt so it would heal. He concentrated on wrapping it tight before finishing and pinning it in place, with a satisfied smile. He glanced up at her, wondering what she'd do now. Her shrugged off the question mentally,"There ya go." he said.

Racheal moved her arm up and down as though lifting invisible weights. She opened and closed her hand twice as she pulled her arm close and looked at it. She nodded, "Thanks." She said, letting out a deep breath. She stood up, taking the first aid kit and shoving it back into the cupboard, sighing. Suddenly there was a knock at the door, she pulled the tattered curtain back to see that it was about 4 knights standing on her porch. She mumbled some innapropriate words and whirled around, "You've got to hide if you don't want to be captured, or change into a bird or something and fly but whatever your gonna do, do it now." She said, turning toward the door. She opened it a crack. "Can I help you?" She growled, the knights trying to push past her.

Rikkes nodded, shifting back into a bird and slipping up her chimney to settle on the roof. 'Never a dull moment.' he thought, hopping to the edge of the roof to look down and see who the people were. Several knights in full armor stood outside. He took off to get a better look and see what he could do, if things went bad.

Racheal grew defensive as they tried to push past her, she pushed her injured arm in their path. "Hold up what do you think you're doing? This is private property, leave now!" She hissed, her hair on her neck standing up. "Word of a shifter has drifted our way. We're here to collect him." The knights muscled their way in, looking around the room. One knight held onto Racheal as they searched the house, making sure she wouldn't be able to slip into any back rooms or any escape routes. Racheal watched as they rumaged recklessly through her house, flipping over tables and turning over chairs. They began in her bedroom next, flipping her matress against the wall and flipping her wooden dresser over. They came across a golden necklace with a small charm on the end, simply ignoring it and rummaging more. Racheal could hear glass hitting the floor and shattering. I swear if they take anything... She thought, getting angered. Next, they walked into Jasper's room. "No!" Racheal screamed, looking at the leader of the group of knights.

Rikkes watched helplessly as they tore up her home looking for him. He felt so very bad, after she had helped him twice now. he wanted to repay the favor, but he knew that if he revealed himself he'd only get her into more trouble than she already was. He flew a way away to avoid any contact, but still able to watch.

The knight walked over to her, "And why not?" He said, his voice edgy. Racheal dropped her head and swallowed down a lump in her throat. "That's my son's room, he died! I can't have you rummage through there and mess his things up." She said, trying to avoid the knights eyes. When the knight ordered his men to tear the room apart Racheal grew angry, she kicked the knight in the shin, spewing insults left and right at him. The knight balled his fist and swung at her stomach, feeling her stomach tense then weaken. Racheal gasped for air, catching her breath and spitting on him. The knight punched her in the face, leaving a cut just under her left eye and giving her a busted lip. Racheal couldn't help but cry then as she watched the knights toss the crib and everything across the room, carelessly.

Rikkes angered as they started to go into the room she had begged them not to. It made sense now. She'd lost a son. He fluttered closer, unable to aid her, feeling terribly bad about it, he could only watch. He settled on the roof again, dropping down to the windowsill, he hopped around, watching painfully.

Racheal would've called Zeus to help but he was injured, maybe she could call Zorro, but she wouldn't risk him getting hurt too. She looked at the knight, growing weak and limp as she saw them tear a hand drawing picture of him down off of the wall. The knight dropped her, the poor mother falling onto her knees and soon she had put her head against the floor. Tears rolled down her face as she turned her head and watched them destroy the last bit of the room. The knight who had hit her stood in front of her for a minute before drawing a foot back and kicking her in the nose. Racheal winced, falling onto her back. The knight grabbed her by her thick curls and stood her up. "Tell us where the shifter went. And don't think about lying to us." He growled. Racheal spewed a bad word at him, feeling his grip on her hair tighten. Her nose bloody. "Tell us!" He demanded. Racheal shook her head, "Never! You will not break me!" She screamed in his face, looking over to see the little red bird again, trying not to draw the knight's attention to it.

Rikkes narrowed his little eyes and flew up, he landed on the chimney and looked down, contemplating his options. He dove down and hovered near the ceiling, glancing around and trying to find the best way to kill them without getting overwhelmed.

Racheal loked around, hearing flapping of wings. She knew the knight heard it too. "Fine! Fine!" She said in defeat. "I'll take you to him!" She said, knowing that she would lead them on and suffer the consequences later. The knights gathered and left, only two remained in the house. When the door shut they began rummaging through the drawers, shutting the front door so they could destroy in peace. They didn't care about that bird. This shack was already in poor condition so it was no surprise to find a bird. Racheal shook her head as the knight put her up on a horse, threatening her that if she was going to try something funny that she would be arrowed to death. She shook her head, all she wanted to do was keep them away from Rikkes.

Rikkes chirped, frustrated, he flew back up the chimney and flew overhead, unsure. He circled, knowing what she was doing and cursing her stupidity in caring for his safety, she was going to get herself killed. He swooped down, unsure what he was doing.

Racheal looked over her shoulder then at the knights, "I'm the shifter." She said, looking in his cold eyes. The knight smiled, slaaping shackles on her wrists and tieing her to the horse's saddle. Mounting his steed he kicked the sides of the horse hard, making him run. Racheal knew she couldn't keep up so they dragged her as intended. Racheal got cut up and bruised on her back and legs as the horse dragged her through the forest and across the cobblestones. Finally the horse slowed down and Racheal got a glimpse of the villagers as they watched in silence. She lowered her head so they couldn't see her eyes, her cold and lifeless eyes. She couldn't believe this was happening, all because of one guy.

Rikkes growled mentally, letting them get ahead, he landed, shifting into a dog he dashed after them, running swiftly and trotting into the village after them, slipping through the crowds to keep up.
