Wow, has this been revived or what?
Now that I look at it I would have to say it must be a seat belt of some kind. I was new to the forums when this topic was first posted, so it's funny to look at it now and see a bunch of people argue over something that is really trivial. So I guess I can settle this once and for all: Balto is not adopted by Duke after all.

Ok, it is imposible that thats a coller... just think about it, a dog can get scared flying like that and could jump out. Its a seatbelt that is very similar to a collor. the produsers had not much creativity to make a different seatbelt from the coller.. =)))

It will be so in my upcoming Balto fanfic. Ok, but how do you see Balto beeing adopted by Duke? He is a half-wolf, that dogs used (and some still) to tease him, people didnt want him at all. he is a fully-growned up dog-wolf, he already has his lifes principle. its very difficult to change your life style when the principle is developed.

I thought so because he named his helicopter "Balto Planes"

I think it is rather clear that Dukke named his plane after Balto, because he was very grateful that Balto saved his life.

Please enough with the yellow around Balto's name please!!!(sorry for gettin' off topic) so far we've got: seat belt from bush plane, harness from sled dog team, possibly a collar from Duke. It could be any of them. But i more than likely think it's something from the sled team. Maybe he just finished sledding and then joined up with Duke later on.
