Jace wanted to respond, and probably would have, but her headache suddenly intensified, feeling like someone was driving a flaming stick through her skull. She let out a soft cry of pain, clutching her head again. Then she experienced the odd sensation like she was flying, lightheadedness overwhelming her briefly.

Jace found herself focusing, and an unexpected surge of energy coursed through her. She gasped, and found herself focusing on the doors; more specifically, the locks. A small click sounded, and Jace felt the pain subside. She tried the door again, and it opened easily. Her eyes widened. Did I do that? she wondered silently.

OOC: Sorry for the late reply guys. My mind was blown by Avengers and I couldn't think of what to reply for this.

Louis raised a disapproving eyebrow at Trey's comment about doing anything possible to avoid getting detention. He commented in a mutter only he himself could hear, "If anything, running away will just make things worse actually..." Turning to the technician, he didn't see blood. He gently touched where the lights came down on him. Nothing broken from the heavy metal bits. 'Lucky break.' Louis thought 'Seems he's only knocked out from the fall. At least he's still breathing...' But what happened next, nearly took his own away from the shock of it. After his failed attempt to opening the doors, Trey asked desperately for suggestions. Before Louis could even put a thought together, he noticed that the air felt funny. As if it felt almost heavy in his lungs. He didn't think much of it, thinking it was fumes or smoke from the lights, but then the doors unlocked, and they were free. 'What... what just happened...' More questions than answers, and it was starting to drive him insane. He decided to just follow the other two out, as maybe he'd find the answers he couldn't obtain by himself. "You guys win. Let's get out of here." Wrapping an arm gently around Jace and pushing Trey out the door, he started moving and pushing down the feelings of regret already surfacing. "Lead the way, Trey."

Trey had barely only a few minutes to register what had just happened. What the-? He knew he wanted to get out bad, and he had asked the others for help on what they should do next, when all of a sudden Jace had grasped her head again, looking as if she was in intense pain. Trey was about to move to help her when it seemed as if she had overcome the headache. This, in and of itself was surprising. He hadn't expected her to concentrate on the door so fast, but after a few more grueling seconds, the lock undid itself. He was practically tongue tied. Something seriously weird was going on here... Lights crashing on their own, doors unlocking themselves?

He found himself being herded from the door, and once he realized it was Louis pushing him along, he managed a pretty enthusiastic nod and allowed himself to take up the front of the group, going at a medium pace to let Louis and Jace catch up, though he also didn't want anyone chasing after them from the school. "It's not too far. I'll get the car, you two wait here for three seconds!"He left at a sprint, coming back in a white mustang, which served a stark contrast to his dark brown hair. "Get in," he said with a smirk. "We're going for a spin."

Still a bit weak, Jace was grateful for the support Louis offered. Leaning on him slightly as she struggled to shake of the lingering effects of the awful headache, she followed Trey as quickly as she could manage. Trey was soon back with a bright white car. Jace slipped inside without hesitation, the cool seats feeling soothing against her feverish skin. She leaned back against the seats as she buckled herself in, sending a last glance at the school building.

This will definitely tick my guardians off, Jace thought, slightly amused by that. Sure, the lecture that would soon come wouldn't be fun, but right now, she didn't really care. And I get to miss my math test, she added silently, a small smile forming on her face.

Louis didn't know what he was more shocked by. The fact Trey could drive (his new friend always seemed more like the reckless type that was a little TOO reckless to be behind the wheel, but he hadn't really known him that well or very long), or the fact his car was a rather nice one (Louis never really had an eye for cars, but he always had a soft spot for mustangs and didn't know why). "Wait what. You can drive?" he asked sliding into his seat. Then what had just happened sunk in and he felt like he was going to have a heart attack. "What am I doing. Isn't this a little rash? We're running away from school. We could get the cops after us for this." He sunk his face into his hands, running his fingers with frustration through his light redish-brown hair, and groaned. 'Jack's going to be so disappointed...' he added miserably inside his head.

Before Trey started driving off, he put a hand on the seat to his right and grinned at the other two, speaking primarily to Louis. Addressing his doubt, he said, "'Course I can. Earned my license fair and square! 'Sides, with my parents gone all the time, I can't really get around otherwise. Listen, Lou - hey you mind if I call you Lou? - anyway, we're going to be fine. The fuzz has better stuff to do than chase a few kids playing hooky around, and besides, if nothing else, we can say we were feeling... ill." He looked over at Jace, lost the smirk, and took a while to turn around. "Uh, yeah..." he finished off a bit awkwardly, and turned around swiftly afterwards. "Buckle your seat belts, guys!" He said with an air of joy as he hit the gas and left the school behind them. "Alright, my place here we come!"

Jace winced at the sudden acceleration. "Easy, Trey," she muttered, a small scowl edging her words. "There is such a thing as brakes, you know." She rubbed her temples; while the pain was much, much better, it was still throbbing, and that was enough to put Jace in a rather irritable mood. Letting out a heavy sigh, she leaned her head against the cool window, relaxing as the cool surface made contact with her still warm skin.

Raising her head, Jace glanced over at Louis, noticing his almost guilty posture. She laid a hand comfortingly on his shoulder, the contact lasting a brief moment before she allowed her hand to drop. "I know this is hard; breaking the rules like this isn't exactly my style either. But...we gotta figure this out, okay? Weird things are going on...I'm sure they'll understand."

Louis looked up at Jace. Her face as gentle and concerned as whenever else she seemed to be looking at him. He smiled back as reflex, but inside, he felt even worse. He felt weak. Surely he isn't as much a teachers pet as every one says is? Getting so worked up about skipping a little school he certainly started to believe it. ...Then again, running away from authority was certainly something else. Trying to not think on that he buckled his seat belt and thought on what just happened in school today since Jace brought it up. "Who'll even believe us? I mean... if I didn't know any better, I'd say that Trey just blew up the school and you opened that locked door." Thinking he sounded crazy himself, he added, "It sounds nuts, but it does make sense. I noticed when Trey started stressing, the lights started flickering..." Then he turned to Jace, "And right when you were in pain, the door opened. Weird coincidence, or did you really open that door?" He sat back and pushed his glasses. "Definitely something up with you guys." Before glancing out the window at slowly unfamiliar looking buildings, he replied to Trey's question, "And I prefer 'Louis' thanks."

"Maybe it was a coincidence," Jace offered half-heartedly, not really believing that herself. "But I noticed that too. Everytime you got nervous, the lights flickered...I know you're a hacker and all, but that's taking things a bit too far, don't you think?" she continued. Her small smile quickly faded along with her pathetic stab at humor; obviously, she wasn't the right one to lighten the mood any.

"Weird stuff has been happening though...I always put it down to the wind, or a trick of the light, but now..." Jace took a deep breath, then glanced back out the window. A few moments passed, and she quickly interrupted the silence. "Isn't that your house coming up?" she asked, checking. She had been here occasionally before, but she was never one to pay much attention to her surroundings, for whatever reason. I'll have to work on that... she noted silently.

Trey seemed to understand Jace's joke, and he laughed genuinely for a few seconds before assuming a more serious tone. "What you guys are saying does sound along the right lines, but even if I had a thing for electricity and Jace has headaches that magically open doors, it sounds like something out of a comic book. I don't know how much to believe myself. Maybe it was just coincidence... But then again, Louis, what was up with your ears? You heard the principal when he was at least three halls away. That's not normal either. Have you been able to do that before?"

A pause ensued as he nodded to Jace's later question. "Yup, this is it..." He said quietly, allowing his friends time to respond to his earlier replies. As he parked the car in the driveway, turned off the ignition, spinned the keys in his hands, and got out, shutting the door behind him, he couldn't help but think aloud, "I don't know what's going on, but whatever it is, it's something new. I've always had a thing with computers, but like Jace said, this is going too far..."

"Headaches?" Louis asked ignoring the question about himself for now and getting out of the car, shutting the door firmly behind him and leaning on it. "I-I noticed something was wrong, but you never say anything. How bad are they?" He was no doctor, though he'd like to be, but even he knew that bad enough and frequent enough ones could mean something terribly wrong. But then again, what about his own weird traits. His hearing was a bit odd. Your average teenager (as well adult or child for that matter), shouldn't be able to hear what he heard from the distance he was at during several different occasions. ...As well as his sense of smell and a few other traits he never had shown or mentioned. For now though, he'd rather keep that to himself. Maybe he could work it out later himself. He turned to Trey, "I'm nothing special, but if you had some control over what you can do, maybe it'd be less pain for you both. No exploding lights and wires cutting you or anyone else up." And he added turning to Jace, "No more headaches. If that's the cause anyway."

Jace bit her lip. "Not too bad," she lied, face tightening subtly as the words slipped out. "But...maybe control would help. I...well, you're probably going to think I'm crazy, but I'm pretty sure I unlocked that door with my mind. I just...focused on it, and my headache went away." She frowned, then fixed a firm gaze on Louis. "Me and Trey can't be the only ones having issues though..." She trailed off, a silent question clear in the air.

"Having more control over this stuff would be a lot of help. If nothing else, it'd down the injuries a bit." He held up his bandaged hand and sighed. He went to the front door and unlocked it, unwrapping his hand soon after he set the keys down. It should be healed by now, and as he looked at it, he noticed there was a delicate scab which had started to form around it, though it was thin. At least it wouldn't bleed anymore unless he scratched it off by accident or something. "Let's discuss this inside, shall we? I mean, whatever's happening, it's weirder than weird, and we need to get to the bottom of it without drawing attention to ourselves. I'll close all the blinds and shades while you guys get over here," he called towards them and headed to the nearest blinds, flicking the small string that closed them. One twist and it was suddenly a bit darker in the room. He went to go do this with the rest of the curtains as well.

Louis scratched the back of his head. He wasn't nervous until Trey mentioned closing the blinds and shades. Yellow-green eyes darting up and down the road as if expecting a patrol car to pass at any given second, he called back into the house as he headed towards the door, "Expecting trouble? Actually I already know the answer to that. They'll expect us to go home won't they? Shouldn't we find someplace else to hide out? Or tell our parents what happened so we have SOMEONE on our side?" He tried not to let panic show through his voice, but he knew he was failing miserably. "I mean... I'm sure Jack would at least hear me out. Wouldn't yours?"
