Angus watched from the end of the bar and chuckled to himself.

"Oh c'mon now don't hide that pretty face." he cooed, gently brushing some of her hair back behind her ear.

Heather nervously laughed, but then stopped herself. She hated her laugh. She looked at him but her eyes quickly darted away. She wasn't embarrased, but she didn't beleve his word. Though she was very pretty, Heather never thought so. She tried to contain her blush by tilting her head back and taking a few long breaths, but it was still there. Her heart seemed to pound out of her chest, Atticus made her nervouse. But that wasn't the right word. Was the right word, excited? Maybe.

Heather smiled wildly and hid her face under her hands, trying despratly to hide her grin and blush. She started to giggled a bit, but then stopped herself again.

Once slightly collected, she peeked through her fingers and eyed Atticus. "Don't make me blush so much." She joked through a laugh that she couldn't controll.

Atticus smirked "Sorry, it's just you're too beautiful to hide your gorgeous lil' face." the young man replied, his voice smooth. He was glad to see this kind of reaction from her. "And um, I really like your laugh." he said flashing another smile.

Heather scraped her teeth along her bottn lip, hiding a smile. She couldn't help but smile, though she didn't know why. She was happy for the compliments also, Atticus was certainly the charmer.

"I hate my laugh." She said through a grin.

"Why's that? I like it... It's real. Most girls try to hide their laugh by giving some weird goofy sounding, fake one." He said, smiling at how hard she tried not to laugh or smile at him.

Heather gave a crooked grin, the only kind she gave when she was deeply amused "Fake laughter? Hmm. Maybe I'll try that sometime. Sounds soo fun." Heather joked sarcastically.

Atticus laughed, "You don't need to, you've got a pretty laugh." he assured smoothly, noticing that it was almost midnight, but not caring.

Heather smirked, happy that she'd gotten him to laugh. "You have a nice laugh, also." She teased.

He chuckled "Thanks." he replied happily, running his hand through his dark brown hair. His phone buzzed and he looked to see he had a text, he rolled his eyes and huffed. It was his annoying neighbor, Rodney Pinster, this man had somthign against him, and now he was texting. Complaining that, Scout, Atticus's dog was barking. A lie because Scout never barked.

“Anytime, babe.” Heather said, forgetting that she couldn’t that out to a cop. She stiffened at her own words, what had she just said? Her cheek flushed a deep red and she couldn’t contain the smile bubbling on her face. Heather laughed a little then hid her face in her hands.

Atticus started to chuckle "Well... as a cop I've been called alot of names... but that one's new..." he teased, his blue eyes twinkling.

S-sorry” She said through her laugh. She brought her face up again; tears rimmed her eyes from laughing so much. Her stomach hurt also.

“Don’t make me laugh so much, kay?” She asked, trying to cease her laughter.

"Sorry, I just have the ability to make anyone laugh." he apologized with a smirk.

Heather wagged her head back and forth.

"No. I just laugh at everyone." She countered, her protesting self always arguing.

"Ah, alright." he nodded.

He turned and looked when he saw a couple leaving, and he realized the bar was nearly empty now.
