When the image finally faded, Dax woke, he stood shaking his head and emerged into the still dark sky.

Link stood up to get something to eat, she walked in the direction Dex always goes to see if there was something over there.

Dax sniffed the air, picking up the scent of a lone deer. He walked silently in their direction.

She soon picked up the scent of a deer, a lone one. But didn't know that Dex was also hunting for it.

Dax crept towards it, his ears flicking back and forth, he watched it graze and narrowed his eyes.

Link was on the opposite side of where he was, on the other side of the small open field. She got low to the ground and soon sprung out, grabbing its neck and flinging it to the ground and stood on to of it feeling satisfied.

Dax's ears went back, he jumped, pushing her off and to the ground and stood over her.. he didn't know it was her..

"What the H*** man?!" she snapped at him she didn't realize it was him either, then she saw his faint colors in the moon light. She shot her ears back, "Oh... I'm sorry Dex," she said and slowly stood up, "Well.. made It easy for you," she said and began to walk off for something else.

Dax hurried to apologize, "No.. it's okay.. you killed it.. i just thought you where something else.." he said.

"Nah... I'm pretty sure you had your eyes on it longer then I had, you keep it." she said and jumped over a bush disappearing.

Dax opened his mouth to protest, but she dissapeared. He shook his head and looked at the deer, his apatite lost for the minute.

Link looked back, "Little gift to you...." she said softly only she could hear it and went back to find a squirrel or a heir.

Dax shook his head to clear it and ate the flank of the deer. He sighed, dragging the rest into a shaded area so it wouldn't go bad.. for later. He trotted to the pond he had found and lapped at the water.

A Heir soon smacked into a tree making a loud thud and snapped. Link came over to it and picked it up, she tore the head and tail off, and started to eat it, other then the bones.

Dax looked as his reflection and sighed, he stood and trotted through the trees aimlessly.
