"Mmhmm," Lara murmured, before speeding off towards where Hally had said to look. Ever muscle in her body screamed in protest.

Madness came back with the second elk, and growled when she saw Lara gone. Her tail drooped in worry. "Where the hell is my deputy?? Why didn't somebody come get me??"

Lara didn't say anything, only kept running. When she saw small spatters of blood her heart sank.

"Gosh dammit why now!" With that Madness followed Lara's scent wherever it took her.

Lara felt her entire body tremble as she padded over to the surreally still body of her younger sister. She nudged the younger she-wolf with a forepaw.

Lara barely heard what Loowmare said. She only curled up next to her sister and closed her eyes. Hoping.

Lara sprang up as her sister nudged her. "Lyra! Oh my..... What happened?!" Lara nearly shrieked.

Lara felt anger cloud her head, still throbbing from the earlier event. Whoever did this.... I don't know. Lyra's only a bit smaller than me, and I'm a midjet.... But they'd better. No. They NEED to watch their back now. Lara shook her head. "Hally, you need to stay here with her." There was a look of shock and protest from the dark she-wolf and a look of blatant abandonment from her sister. It nearly tore Lara in two to leave her. "I'll look for Madness," Lara growled softly as she quickly trotted down the worn trails hoping she'd bump into the leader soon enough.
