Occ:// Thanks! Let's just pretend my character was in the shadows all this time.

Lakota was sitting down with her arms around her legs, rocking herself gently back and fourth. She could hear the others talking about where to go and what to do. She was too perplexed and scared about her new apperance to go and talk to them. She stared down at her paws. They looked weak and scrappy, and her warm pelt was gone. She had to stand on her two hind legs. Lakota tried standing up and to her surprise it wasn't that hard, but when she tried walking she stumbled and fell onto the hard ground. "Ouch..." She groaned loudly. She looked at her grazed knee. The stinging pain was horrible! Lakota couldn't belive humans got hurt that easily.

Avienda stopped walking, turned around, and came back to the group, hardly even upset that she had gone in the wrong direction. She was determined to find this place and get this whole plan over with and nothing would stand in her way. Not even not knowing where to go. "Can't one of you scent where the nearest town is?" she asked Dana and Joe. They were the only ones with powerful enough senses to smell a human town. "This flyer probably came from there. If we go there, we can figure it out, maybe even find this festival thing." She winced when Lakota stumbed and fell to the ground with a thump! "See," she said, motioning to Lakota. "It's not as easy as it looks." She was obviously refering to the multiple times she had almost fallen.

Lakota nodded in agrement to Avienda and tried again. First she took one step, then another, and another again. "I think I got the hang of it now" she said, a mere smile on her face. She looked up from the ground, slightly oblivious of what to do next. She was tired and hungry, and knew no-one here. She longed to go and hunt with her pack, to feel the snow crunch beneth her pawpads. She didn't know if she was ever going to be an animal again.

She was scared about the idea of going to a festival. She was petrified of humans, and whatever a festival was it sounded like there were lots of people going to be there. Even being around the animals-turned-humans made her uneasy. Lakota was not exactly scared of herself since she didn't feel human. She felt like an animal, but in a different body.

"I guess," said Dana. She stepped forward and began sniffing the piece of paper. That's when she realized how powerful a horse's sense of smell was, at least compared to a human. Dana picked up scents that she knew she would never be able to detect if she was still human. Maybe there's some good to having an out-of-body experience, she thought to herself. She was no dog, but she tried sniffing around to see if there was a trace of the scent so that she could lead them there. She thought she picked up something, but was unsure about it. So she turned to Joe. "Can you help me out?" she asked him. "I think I might have a scent, but I want a second opinion." Dana knew that if she led the others in the wrong direction, she'd be dead meat.

Avienda waited for one of them to motion towards a certain direction or something to get the group moving, but they just sniffed at the paper some more. "Can someone point us in the right direction?" she asked them, her body sensing her annoyment and pratically crossing her arms for her. Realizing that she had moved her arms, she glanced down at them in surprise. She quickly uncrossed them and threw them back down at her side, still staring at Dana and Joe expectantly.

Lakota frowned in annoyance that she wasn't able to help them. Normally in her pack she would always be the one to sniff out the elk, but now her nose was no more than a little bump on her face. At least she could still do some tracking, but that was not going to help right now, so she stood there, awaiting Dana and Joe's words.

Hearing Avienda ask impatiently about the directions, Dana snorted loudly, in a kind of 'don't-you-rush-me' sort of tone. When Joe gave in his input, Dana decided that that the case must be that they did pick up a scent from the same direction. "Okay," she neighed. "Then let's go!" She trotted off in the westward direction, then stopped, turned, and looked over to everyone else. More importantly, she looked to Joe for reassurance that she was, indeed, going in the right direction. Her eyes then gave a careful glance at Lakota. Something about the girl made all of Dana's horse nerves go berserk. She didn't know why she was acting like that. But she only guessed that her horse self might have picked up something more from Lakota than her human self would never have detected.

Lakota walked down after them, playing with the werid, long tufts of fur on her head. She could sense that Dana was nervous around her, but she didn't know why. She tried not to look like a threat, though she was not doing a great job. Lakota was more engulfed into her thoughts to barely notice anything that was going on. What if the humans kill them? They could do so. But now isn't the time to panick, she thought. Her human emotions confused her when she was supposed to be concantrating. Suddenly she stopped. "Do we have any kind of plan at all?" she asked the others.

Drew had stayed quiet for the most part, paying attention to everyone's inputs and walking around slyly... just like a fox. Except this time he was human. It irritated the teenager more than anything, but at the moment more pressing matters were making themselves known. Hearing Lakota ask if they had a plan, he answered distantly, "We have the start of a plan... if we can make it that far." He coughed silently, finally putting his hands in small openings on the clothes he was wearing.

He didn't know they were called 'pockets', but they were still pretty comfortable anyways. This was the perfect way to assume 'sly fox' mode while he was wearing a human body. And Drew couldn't help himself but act the way he did. He still had the animal instincts he was born with. That wasn't about to change anytime soon. He made his way by Avienda, clearly seeing, unlike most of the others, that she was distressed. "Scared about the humans?" He whispered next to her ear so that no one else except her could hear. After a moment's pause he said, "I am," with the faintest of smiles crossing his lips.
