Joey nodded to her, but still kept his ears down. He pulled himslef into a sit and looked up at her. "Ok, I trust you." He said as he looked at the sand under his paws. He really didn't like talking to others for fear of geting hurt.

Joey nodded, still a little unsure. He raised his head so he could looked at her better, "I know, but I still just find it hard. But I trust you, I hope at least you won't take that for granted like the others." He wishpered more to himself then to her.

Joey laid back down and closed his eyes. If he could trust her, she wouldn't do anything to him while he slept. He soon found sleep seemed to come easier with someone with him. As sleep took over him he dreamed of wolves and dogs fighting. A young pup is lost in the fighting and is picked up by one of the dogs who runs off with him. The dog takes the pup to a barn where she tells him to stay until mornning to the farmer could find him. Just as one of the female begens to leave another of the dogs attacks her and Joey jumped out of his dream. "Same dream over and over again." He said to himself as he looked at the ocean again.
