"I really think what made me actually glad he'd watched me was what happened with Merah, the one time he didn't watch me..." she said, forgetting Kovu had never heard that story.

Simba nodded. "She was banished...and even when I gave the Outlanders the chance to return, she stayed out there," he said. "She's still out there somewhere, that's one of the reasons I'm worried."
Kiara nodded. "I know...that terrifies me..." she said. "And Vitani is really close to the cubs, its more like she's playing with them than babysitting."

Kiara nuzzled Kovu carefully. "It's ok, Kovu, don't worry."
Simba looked to Vitani. "Could you watch the cubs, please?" he asked. "We're corried and they really like you, so it wouldn't bother them as much if you're with them instead of me or their parents."

Nala was startled by the fact that Kovu knew nothing about Merah. "You don't know about Merah?" asked Nala Why haden't Kiara told Kovu? What else had Kiara been keeping from him? Did Kovu REALLY know Kiara?

"What?" asked Dogo "Did something happen?" He let his sister go. What had happened that made her mad?

Nala's eyes got really big. Did Kovu mean what he said? Would he really kill Merah? So many unanswered questions.....the real question is would they ever be answered?
