"I'm Taran," Taran said. "And this is my sister Tracey." He nodded his head towards his sister. "So, how did all of you end up here?"
"The same way as you two," Joy said, walking in between the twins and quietly singing in their ears.
So you thought you had a life
All to yourselves
And nobody could interfere

Joy walked in front of the dogs, strutting around like the cage was her own stage. She continued to sing the same slow beat.
Welcome to our world of fun
Of randow ribbons
And ruffles and fluff
But here's a place of dark magic
Of deciet and lies
And all that evil stuff

This magic just fills the air
We accept our doom
What else to do?
But wallow in our despair
Joy switched tunes to the main part of the song. The rythm flowed in a beautiful lament.
Once I had a life that was mine
I had a dream that was sublime
I would have reach it if I had time
But suddenly I was out of luck
I had a boy that sung out my name
I had friends that weren't so strange
("No offense," she added to the dogs around her.)
I had the chance to have glory and fame
No actress has ever been this stuck
In her mind, Joy remembered being on the stage, standing on two legs and singing in front of a cheering crowd. She had never been so happy in all her life. Adrian's face was in the crowd though, holding a bouquet of flowers that he would give her after the show. Joy was so fluttered by the roses that she hardly noticed Adrian leading her into a back room and soon changed her into the dog she was now. She sighed at the memory before singing the first verse of the chorus on her own.
Oh, I had a life before this
I had places to go
I had dreams to fulfil
I had a family to hold
Everyone joined into the second half of the chours.
Oh, I had two legs to go anywhere
I had planes for a future time
I had a list of all I would do

Michael then began his part of the song, standing in front of the two.

I was well on my way thanks to my mind
But that life would soon be gone.
I had a bright future ahead of me
I was smart just as I could be
I wanted to use it to help those in need
But then that Adrian did me wrong."
Michael remembered his old life, a gifted student ready to earn a full scholarship at a major science fair, after which he really wanted to become a scientist to help other people that needed it with his smarts. But one of the judges was Adrian disguised, who gave him a blue ribbon and told him to 'sign some papers in another room, where he took advantage to curse him.

As before, the others joined in for the second half.

Trey stood up and started his part of the song.
Once I had a life that was grand
I had the girl's all in my hand
"And, yes" I was the guy no teacher could stand
This low I would never sink
I had the charm and time of my life
I had to manage just one bad night
I didn't know ther was an evil man in my sight
Too late too skip that last drink
Images from the one wild part flashed in Trey's mind before the memory grew foggy when he walked home, staggering around the sidewalk and uses building's walls for support. Adrian stood at the end of the sidewalk, offering to help Trey home. After that, Trey wasn't sure what happened since his mind was too soaked with drink to take in anything, but he ended up in this cage.

Sadie glanced at Tracey and Taran before singing her part.
Once I had a life that was quiant
I had a mother who was a saint
I had brother's I woud sometimes hate
What I would give to go back
I had a habit of running away
I had a boy who led me astray
I had the chance to make everything okay
I'll never have the chance to back track
Sadie remembered running away with her boyfriend, and sneaking into Adrian's circus through the back just before the show began. Her so called love of her life run out of the tent as soon as Adrian caught them. Sadie wasn't so lucky.

Taran stood next to his sister, wanting to put on arm around her put obviously not being able to. "Don't worry, Tracy. We'll see them again. I'll make sure of it," he promised her.
