Kyler laughed and ran after him, "Hey!" she scolded though her laughs. "Not fair!" she ran after him, her backpack bouncing up and down on her shoulder. She caught up to him, just out of arm's reach. She laughed and ran the tiniest bit faster, and just close enough to push him over into the grass. Kyler reached out and pushed him to the side, but she only ended up falling over herself, knocking Damien down as well. She landed right on top of him, laughing and gasping for breath at the same time. "Got you!" she exclaimed, looking down into his eyes.

She smiled, reached over, and pressed her hand on his that held the chip bag. "Well I seem to have the upper hand, don't I?" she chuckled, taking the bag from him. "And now I also have the chips!" she said, getting up and running off, looking back at him challengingly.

Kyler looked back, taking a chip out of the bag and waving it over her shoulder at Damien, teasing. She took a bite, swallowed, then yelled back, "Mmmmm, these are soooo good! You should try some! If you can catch me!" she laughed and kept running, though she was beginning to get tired.

"I try!" Kyler answered, slowing down. Her legs were getting tired from running at her top speed, and her backpack was weighing her down. She threw her hair out of her face and looked back to see that Damien was catching up.

Kyler gave up and laughed with him. "Fine, I give up!" she said, panting, her legs feeling like jell-o. "You win!" she claimed, putting her hands on top of his that were wrapped around her stomach.

Kyler sighed and gave up the bag of chips, feeling the butterflies in her stomach. Damien was her best friend in the whole world, but she couldn't deny the feeling that she had around him, especially now. It felt like... something more than friendship. She couldn't explain it. When Damien reached to grab for the bag, his face was so close to hers... she stopped herself. She couldn't think like that. I mean, what if he didn't like her like that? What if he only thought of her as a friend? Kyler shook the thought away, getting her head back on straight. "I crown you reigning Chip Champion!" she announced playfully.
