Even though voting is kinda pointless, this topic is still active so I'll give my two cents.

I think that we should have re-allowed "sparkledogs" or other un-realistic characters. There's so much gray area involved that one mod might remove a character for thinking it's un-realisitc, but another mod or other members might think it's pretty realistic. If all kinds of characters are allowed then mods won't waste their time having to find and remove un-realistic characters, and characters that fall into a gray area of realism won't be removed.

I'm afraid this too will affect the other sources and the new ones to come.

I think it stopped being Balto Source two or more years ago now. =\ This "OH HEY GUYS! You can make retarded looking wolves with every colour of the rainbow!!!" just pushes it further down. I don't know why the children couldn't have just kept their mouths shut and brought their sparklewolves to dA.

Oh wait... That would take common sense.

Some people would like sparkledogs. I don't, but I'd like our own characters. < 3

*sighs* That's very disappointing...this is a BALTO source, but looks like some people didn't got it and continued to make pressure on it...like with cats, okay, I'm a dog persona because I grew with dogs but...WHERE HAVE YOU SEEN A CAT IN THE BALTO'S MOVIES? I haven't seen any so, I wonder why people want to make a cat char...or a sparkledog...jeez, all the Balto chars had normal colors (okay, maybe Dixie was a bit purpulish but, nevermind).

No, they have to be at least 13 (at least that's how it was when I joined).

Really? Why is Steet allowing Sparkledogs now?
I think Sparkledogs can be fun and creative if their personalities and background are well developed (and they live in a place where their appearence in normal), but they REALLY don't belong on Balto Source.
This especially annoys me because, as soon as the rules got more strict, I deleted all my characters on this site because none of them fit the bill (in one small way or another) and I never plan on changing them, I also wanted to get them out of the mods way because they had a lot of work to do finding characters that didn't fit. So, apparently, now my characters would be okay...?
What has this site come to?
Personally, I'm just gonna stick with pictures of Balto characters from now on...

Ack... I can't believe this. This is ANIMATION source. As many other creative people like myself have said, Balto source is no place for Sparkledogs with all their piercings and leg-warmers and wings. Dogs can't have wings for crying out loud (unless they're some sort of seagull hybrid, which is physically impossibly may I just say.)

Personally, I think this is going to ruin Balto Source for people like myself who are actually creative with characters who would infact fit into the Balto world, and want to celebrate the original characters from the movies aswell.

-sigh- I'm just praying this rule doesn't ruin TLKS aswell T.T I agree with Sora, it's just letting whiners think that if they moan enough they'd get their own way.

I hope people can be a little more patient...cause when there will be categories, anyone will be free to filter the "sparkledogs" or anything they don't like from appearing on the WHOLE site.
At the same time, people who like them will be able to enjoy them!

I know some of you still don't like this idea, but honestly, it's the ONLY way to stop dividing everyone and avoid adding confusing rules that no one understand anymore. (not the mods, not the visitors, neither did I!)

these sparkle dogs are a major headache

I want the old rules back. I think that there should be dogs of unnatural colours allowed, and other animals. They're the same as any other normal coloured charecter, related to Balto in some way, used in fanart and fanfics, just they're fur is an unnatural colour. Also with the other types of animals, there are other animals besides dogs and wolves in the Balto movies, there are bears, geese, polar bears, there was also a mouse in [i]Wolf Quest[i]. I also still want the normal charecters on here.

Bet you never thought that people would be stupid enough to not categorize their red and blue mutt into the sparkledogs because of their "opinion" did you?

This post rocks xD Kids nowadays can be quite stubborn and argue that "OMFGZZ! My char has blue and red and why on earth should I categorize it to "sparklies"?!? Balto had a blue dog and a red dog and a purple dog and...and...and.."the list goes on.

Other than that, I REALLY hope that there won't be such problems...But the hope we have is less than zero...

Hopefully to avoid those problems mods can shove a char over into the right category and check they're in the right category before approval. Otherwise headaches may occur; this is a good point you have brought up.
