"Alright, so what do humans eat?" asked Cynder. "Dragons are carnivores by nature, so we eat meat, but we can get you other stuff if you want." she said, showing her predatory teeth.

OOC: I know Sam is a vegaterrian.

Soon a meal was set up for the group, meat for the dragons, Tucker, and Danny, fruit and vegatables for Sam.

Cynder started eating rather visciously, as she was less civilized than Spyro.

"So, Danny, are your powers normal or are you unique?"

Cynder licked her lips off after finishing her meal. "I can use multiple elements too...but for a different reason..." she said, looking down.

"Yeah, Cynder used to be evil and all, she still gives me the creeps." said Sparx, causing Cynder to give him a snarl, making him scream and retreat behind Spyro's back.

Cynder sighed. "...Malefor's forces broke into the Dragon Temple the night Spyro and my eggs were laid." she explained. "We're not siblings, just laid on the same day, with an entire generation of eggs..." she continued. "Spyro's egg was taken and released downstream, where dragonflies found and raised him." she continued. "Malefor's army smashed all the other eggs, killing them...except mine...he took me and turned me into a monster...by age 12, I was a fully grown adult with more power than most other dragons...but no soul...nothing that makes me me...I was...a terror of the skies...a demon..."

"Well after nearly freeing Malefor and spelling doom for dragonkind, I finally met Spyro and we clashed a few times before...well..." said Cynder, beginning to explain with Spyro.

Flashback

Spyro and Cynder both panted heavily, both wounded and exhausted from their struggle. Cynder flew up, refusing to be beaten and began preparing for another attack. Spyro, however, knew he couldn’t let her win, even if she was his own age, even if she’d been turned into an awful monster against her will…he couldn’t let her win.

Spyro summoned every ounce of power in his entire body, forming a mass of purple energy in front of him, sucking Cynder towards it. The huge black dragon tried hard to free herself from the suction, but before she could, the mass of energy fired off a barrage of purple energy blasts in the shape of a dragon’s head. Cynder roared in rage and pain as the blasts swirled around her, buffeting her from every angle, pummeling her with devastating force. But as that happened, she began to feel something she’d never felt before…freedom...she felt the malice compelling her slipping away, leaving a calming sense of freedom in its place.

Spyro watched as the attack ended and Cynder’s limp body crashed to the ground of Convexity hard. Spyro could only stare as she weakly lifted her head and groaned…then something bizarre happened…Cynder glowed white and seemed to implode, her form sucking inwards, though not in a grotesque fashion, until finally, she’d reverted back to a tiny black dragon, no larger or older than he was. Spyro gasped, staring in shock. “She is just like me…” he exclaimed in suprise, looking at the only other surviving member of their Year of the Dragon generation, finding himself strangely relieved the creature that minutes earlier had been trying to kill him was still breathing.

However, before he could do more, the alter that she’d powered up suddenly imploded, no longer having Cynder to keep it open. It began sucking everything around it into it. Sparx, Spyro’s dragonfly ‘brother’, looked to Spyro. “Dude, we’ve got to get of here…NOW!”

Spyro looked to Sparx, then back to Cynder as the implosion began drawing him into it as well. “I can’t leave her behind…I’ve got to save her!”

Sparx looked at Spyro like he was insane. “What? Save the beast that’s been trying to kill us?!

Spyro glared at Sparx. “That wasn’t her fault…she was being used by the Dark Master!” he shouted in Cynder’s defense, looking back to see her limp form being sucked back towards the portal. Spyro released his hold on the ground and flew back as she was sucked in, diving in after her. After a few tense moments, Spyro flew from the imploding portal, carrying Cynder along with him. “Now we can go!” called Spyro, flying past Sparx.

“I’m right behind you buddy!” called Sparx, following suit, while he didn’t agree with what just happened, he did agree they had to get going.

Spyro flew with all his might, refusing to fail Cynder as he carried her through the portal, dodging everything being sucked into the portal. Finally, the three of them reached the exit, being launched out and crashing to the ground. Spyro managed to weakly raise his head and look at Cynder, relieved to see that, while out cold, the poor dragon still breathed. With that thought in his mind, he let the exhaustion from the huge battle and from escaping Convexity overcome him and fell into unconsciousness.


OOC: Tell me what you think of the flashbacks, if you don't like it, I'll stop, but it let's me put more emotion into the scene.

"It wasn't easy, that last blast burned out my powers." said Spyro. "I couldn't use any of them for a few months...but it was worth it..." he said, smiling to Cynder.

Cynder smiled back. "Yeah, it hurt...a lot, but that sense of freedom I felt as the spell was broken was worth it, so was actually having a life." she explained. "I'm not proud of the things I did, but at least after that I was able to repent and make amends for it."

"I admit it, I give Cynder grief for that, but I'm just playing." said Sparx. "But I'm still glad to have her on our side than on Malefor's." he said. "Though admittingly she was hot."
