Tosca awkwardly tried to comfort Dusk. She was never really good in situations like that but at least she had an answer for Twilight.
"I'm sure you'll see her again" Tosca said softly, motioning for Yuma to come over. "How about Yuma takes you on a little tour around the territory to take your mind off things?"
Kai bounded alongside and chirped, "Me too me too me too!!"

Dusk smiled at the bounding furball of youthful energy that was Kai. "Alright. Show me around then." she said. With that, the small group started for the Northern forest. Rowtag walked up beside Tosca and watched them go. Then he turned to her and motioned towards the Southern forest with a questioning glance.

Tosca nodded and followed her younger brother toward the spot she knew Twilight was still waiting. Along the way, Tosca snuck a glance at Rowtag, giving him a grin.
"So I heard you talked to her..." she said, voice filled with amusement.

A small smile spread across his face. "She looked like she needed a warm welcome." He said. "So I did my best to give her one." It wasn't long before they reached the edge of the Southern forest. Twilight's Reflecting Pool wasn't too far ahead now.

Tosca chuckled at Rowtag's response and entered Twilight's little spot silently. Twilight wasn't facing her, but she could tell he knew she was there.
"I asked her" Tosca began. "Her mother's name is Winter. She says she was named for the season she was born in, but I don't think that's too important..."

Twilight drew in a deep breath. "Nothing about this now is unimportant..." he said. "I remember that line, myself. My father told that to my sister when we eight months old." The older black wolf turned around to face his young friends. "There is no question in my mind now. Dusk... is my niece."

Tosca cocked her head, trying to picture an eight-month-old Twilight. She couldn't picture it. And although she was surprised that Twilight actually had a family, she wasn't so shocked to know that the two were related. They had an uncanny resemblance.
"So do you want to go back and talk to her...?" Tosca offered. "She's a bit upset about leaving her family... and I think it'd make her a bit happier to meet you"

Twilight took a deep breath and then let it out slowly. "I don't know what to do, Tosca." he said. "If her mother has told her anything at all about me, then she knows that I'm 'supposedly' dead." He shook his head and began to pace again. "Seeing me might make it worse. I'll have to explain why I left in the first place. An answer that I'm not even sure of."

"Well maybe it'll at least take her mind off- why would they think you were dead?" Tosca suddenly asked mid-sentence. Then she quickly shook her head. "Nevermind, forget I asked but she seems really lost right now and she left for some reason... maybe she left for the same reason you did"

Twilight took a moment stare at his reflection in the pool. He stared for what seemed like hours, but it couldn't have been more than a few minutes. "Alright." he finally said. "Go get her and bring her here."

Tosca nodded and started off, thinking different thoughts as she went to find the group's paw prints and track them down. As soon as she had, she picked up a jog to catch up.

Dusk saw Tosca approaching. "Oh, hello." she said, giving her a smile. "I must say, you have a very nice home here." You're little brother and sister are very good tour guides."

Yuma puffed his chest out a little. "Yeah!" he said. The best ever!

"Yes we are!" Kai chirped, puffing out her chest like her brother had.
Tosca grinned at her siblings and motioned for them to follow her. "Remember that wolf that wanted to know about your mother? Well... he wants to talk to you"

Dusk frowned. "He does?" she asked. "Why?"

Yuma and Kai didn't really feel like folow ing, so they left to go find Una, so they could play with. "Bye Dusk!" they both said as they ran away.

Tosca shrugged. "I don't know but I'm sure he'll explain everything to you when you get there... he's not as scary as he looks so don't worry about it" the tawny wolf added, trying to ease Dusk's mood.
