Exactly my view. I like him, he's alright. But I wouldn't buy or download any of his music xD And I agree on the haters thing. I see too many people going around the internet going as far as wishing death on him, and I think that's just sick. He's only young. =/ And has potential, imo.
Lol, to rephrase the first part: I meant that in the sense that the radio station I first heard it on was all pop songs that was just guys singing about girls or girls singing about guys with no variation. I actually am growing extremely tired of pop because of the stupid station, but sadly there are no good rock ones where I live. Go figure. I have heard Tatu, actually. I absolutely love their music!
That's what I mean. I think it's so stupid for people to hate him to the point of threatening murder. I mean, seriously? It's hard to hate someone when you barely even know them, much less wish them dead. A lot of people think it's some kind of joke or hate him just because they can. I had begun to feel a major repeat of Twilight when he first came out because a lot of people hated him just to hate, not because they had a good reason. In short, I too think it's ridiculous for people to send him death threats. It's ridiculous in the first place that people claim to detest him so much when A) They don't know him personally or B) He's, like you said, just a kid.
Therefore, I remain neutral in the sense that some of his songs are good, but I don't fan girl over him nor do I hate him.

That's another thing that bothers me. I feel bad for Rebecca Black. You know why? She decides to try her luck at a music video when she is not very known in the hopes that some people will like her and guess what? She gets absolutely
ridiculed for her high pitched voice or for a few lines of her song. Now, don't get me wrong, her song is not all that fantastic to begin with, but it's absolutely uncalled for that she is the world's laughing stock for no reason at all. When I get a bad comment on a video or drawing or really anything I've made myself, I get disappointed and somewhat upset. Imagine what she feels, having a million comments on her video with nothing but negativity.
It's wrong to hate
anyone simply because of their voice, their "lack of talent", or how they are percieved because of what we have heard. If you don't know them in real life, than you don't have a right to hate their guts. If you don't like their music, that's something else entirely, but don't start writing grief about them becoming the next 'freakin president' when you and I both know that's not true and it never will be. These people aren't politicians. They aren't out to take over the planet. They are simply trying to become known and to be loved because, for all you know, they could have low self-esteem. You need to walk a mile in someone's shoes before you can ever hope to fully understand them. Don't judge a book by its cover.
