Almost none of you will be familiar with this band (as it falls into the category of what is nowadays known as "classic rock"), but there is a great song by the band "Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers ( http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tom_Petty_and_the_Heartbreakers). The song is titled "Here Comes My Girl", and I have always loved its melody (which features half steps up and down the musical scale, using what I believe are flats and sharps (you musicians will know what I'm talking about here). Makes for a GREAT sound! The song's lyrics fit into the first Balto movie VERY well. And it's a fantastic song overall, with a great melody. On my primary account, JerseyCaptain, I created a music video for it, which received a good deal of praise (along with my others) by Aniu Caelestis back during the 2009 Animation Source Awards (for which I won the Balto fan video category), to wit: Aniu Caelestis wrote: Alright, I've come to a decision. It was close, but based on the usage of unique and original themes as well as music that, though not necessarily popular at this point in time, holds valuable meaning and evokes strong feeling, the winner of the Kodi Award is *drumroll*:
JerseyCaptain!
Congratulations on winning your second award! " ...holds valuable meaning and evokes strong feeling...". Yes, that is precisely what I go for. Always. Even with music that, for most of you, " ...is not necessarily popular at this point in time" (with respect to Aniu C., whom I consider a friend, that is a matter of opinion. lol). I use the music I know, and which I grew up with...the same as any of you generally do. Anyhoo, here is that video, in which I think you will see why I feel as I do about this song. This is an old video...the first I'd ever done (waaaaay back when I was "BaltoSeppala" originally. lol). I even managed a bit of lip synching with Balto in it, shockingly! I hope you'll enjoy it, and see where I was going here: http://www.animationsource.org/balto/en/fanvideo/Here_Comes_My_Girl/16059.html&detail=77551And, in case anyone wishes to see my other videos, they are here: http://www.animationsource.org/balto/en/fanvideo/JerseyCaptain/16059.html

On that note to what Hunter said, I can't listen to 'Welcome To My Life' by Simple Plan without thinking of Balto cause I used to watch an AMV that was about Balto on YT in order to listen to it for we didn't have the CD for the song. It doesn't fit him 'strangely' or 'perfectly' or even particularly 'well', but it does fit him somewhat. There's probably more that would remind me of Balto from AMVs, but I can't remember more off the top of my head.
One AMV that I did see that didn't fit at all was for Balto and Steele. 'I Hate Everything About You' [by Three Days Grace]. Yea. Go by the title and the first line of the chorus, then sure. But the WHOLE SONG does not what so ever. People need to listen to what material they're using before using it. Yeah for some reason Simple Plan tends to fit Balto more than other songs. I dunno why. And yeah, by the sounds of it, that song does go well but haha. People would be shocked to learn it's not fitting at all. xD

And this is driving me nuts. I know that name, Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers, but I don't know if it's cause I did a report on them in High School or something, but I feel I've listened to them before... But anyway, lovely video! I'll have to check out your others sometime soon. 8] Ah, you have pulled me from the fire! lol Thank you, Roi! And thanks for the reminder about the "TL/DR" phenomenon. I keep forgetting...the KISS principle must remain in operation around here. REALLY KISS. *SIGH* Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers are one of progressive rock's greatest bands (they arose in the early 80s if I recall). And then Tom Petty went solo for a while, and then they reunited recently. They are incredible, and are still doing fresh new music. But rock music, not stuff your peers might enjoy I suppose.

I'd say Sora by Every Little Thing. It's the Japanese ending song for Pokemon: Victini and the Black Hero: Zekrom.

Wolf_Bassist wrote: I've got one here that might describe Balto's mindset prior to the serum run, when he was an outcast. The Reincarnation Of Benjamin Breeg - Iron MaidenGood song. Of course, that was sort of my intention and thought process with "Here Comes My Girl". Balto's depressed and frustrated, and then Jenna comes along and sort of lifts him out of the funk. The lyrics and melody play beautifully into that.
