Anyways, on an even more random note, does Korra's appearance and facial expressions remind anyone else of Sokka?

Imagine: They aren't related; Korra isn't related to Katara at all, so...that means she isn't related to Sokka either.

Just because they aren't blood related doesn't mean that Korra can't make a few lame jokes. XD
Anywho, I'm with Imagine on this one; I think it's better that the characters who aren't alreay related to the old ones remain that way. I loved the Gaang as much as the next fan, but their story has ended, as Katara pointed out at the very beggining. It's the new group's time to shine.

On the other hand, the heck is up with these love triangles? Mako just needs to stay with Asami.

Tarlok had it coming. Though, I found the episode kinda disappointing.

Tarlok had it coming. Though, I found the episode kinda disappointing. Yes, he's beginning to annoy me too. It was pretty obvious to me that Bolin and Korra were a much better pair anyway -shrug- On the other hand, I've warmed up to (ex)Chief Beifong now. I like her no nonsense attitude.

I dunno... Korra and Bolin have an almost sibling relationship to me. So, I guess neither. And yeah, (ex)Chief Beifong's pretty awesome! So, when do you think Korra's gonna start airbending? They've given her actual studies almost zilch air time, and I can't see season one lasting much longer.

As far as the shipping goes...don't shoot me, but I actually like Makorra. :/ But I like Borra, too. Though I seem to be the only one here (other than Windancer, with whom I've discussed it elsewhere) who dislikes Masami. >.> I dunno why, it just seems a little too...sudden. "Hey, I just crashed into your motorcycle, let's go out!" Yeah, didn't really do it for me. :P But hey, to each his own, I suppose.
Concerning the airbending, I agree; It'd be pretty disappointing not to see any. The season is called "Air", after all. Doesn't that mean she'd be learning it? -shrug- I guess there's been bigger things going on.
Now, the thoughts that are going around at my house are that in the finale, Amon is going to try to take Korra's bending away but then just as he has her down, she's going to go into the Avatar State. Perhaps that would trigger some airbending.
Oh, and about Amon and Tarlok--yup, the theory that they are the same person is more or less shattered. My dad still thinks that they're plotting together, though; he says that he thinks that taking Tarlok's bending away was a staged event to make it look like they weren't related and that's why Amon was able to resist the bloodbending. He also thinks that Amon didn't actually take his bending, just faked it. Do I agree? I think it's possible, but not likely. Just wanted to throw the idea out there for discussions' sake.

Actually...I agree with your dad. Amon taking Tarlok's bending just seemed...off. *shrugs, rewatches episode later. And as far as "shipping", I honestly don't care, though Mako's waffling really annoys me and isn't fair to any one (though I completely agree about "Masami")

I think sparks are gonna fly in the next episode, and at least one ship is gonna burn.
