David continued circling Buddy and said "My chew toy is bigger than you and I'm sure it packs a bigger punch than you do. You are a stupid mutt who doesn't even stand a chance." He stopped and said "Who am I kidding? I'm not in the mood to fight anything anymore. Jost beat me and get it over with."

Buddy clawed at his back.

David fell to the ground and started whimpering. He said "Finish the job, Buddy. I'm not fighting you."

Temple jumped in the ring, and grabbed Buddy's scruff and slammed him against the side bars. He whimpered and she bit his throat neatly and he fell to the ground, dead.

David looked up at Temple and said angrily "You shouldn't be here, Temple!!!!!! They'll catch you and turn you into one of us fighting dogs or kill you themselves. Get out of here while you still have a chance."

"No." she growled, the blood soaking into her white paws.

The humans came in with nets and tranquilizers. David looked at the humans and back to Temple. He growled at her and knocked her out by biting down on one of her pressure points, not drawing blood though because that wasn't his purpose for doing it. He grabbed her by the scruff and pulled her out of there as quickly as he could and they were soon out of sight of the humans. He threw her to the ground and said "Are you awake yet?"

"Yes." she murmured.

He growled and said angrily "What the h**l were you thinking Temple? Do you want to share your parents fate or worse.........DIE? Don't let them win Temple. PLEASE."

The light of fire returned to Temple's eyes, releasing the deep oceaon blue of sadness that had once been there. "Why should I care? I can take care of myself."

David shook his head and yelled "You can't take care of yourself against these humans!!!! If I could take you down as quickly as I did then they can easily!!!! Why do you think I follow them?!!!!!"

"Because you don't know how to survive on your own. You'd never be like my father!" she yelped and turn and ran.

David felt bad at yelling at Temple and sighed sadly. He said lowly "It's for your own good, Temple. I'm sorry that it has to be this way." He turned around and ran back to the humans building. When he got there, he was attacked by some dogs and got beaten badly by the humans while they yelled at him and gave him insults.

Temple curled up in a sandy hollow. She wished she was back with her kin... her home.

After the beaten he received from the humans, David went and curled up in his spot near the humans building. He wished none of this ever happened to him. He wished his parents were still alive, he wished the pack he came from still existed, he wished he never met Temple under these conditions because he knows that she would be perfect for him but he was taught never to put love in front of the job and he will always remain loyal to the humans he thinks.
